Best for vintage amps

1959 tweed VibroLux amp came with it's original speaker that was drier than a fart. I wanted to keep it original, but heard good things about Alessandro speakers. The 10" are cheaper than the 12" so I figured what the heck.
I noticed a dramatic improvement in sound. I can hear more notes when I play chords, and it's not a shrill speaker. If I want more highs I can just turn up my tone knob. Didnt need any time to break in but over time it keeps sounding better and better.
I think upgrading speakers has more impact on tone than tubes, and unfortunately you can't return speakers making buying them a bit of a gamble. Having purchased enough 12-in speakers I know what I like and don't like. However since this is my first 10-in speaker I don't have much else to compare it to. So will I cannot speak from experience on a 10-in speaker I can say that it is an upgrade over the stock speaker that was in my vintage Tweed fender amp.

Perfect for my Fender Vibro King

I was searching for a replacement speaker for my vk. Those familiar with the early fender vibro king's know that the eminence blue frame speakers are prone to failure. I have one left in my vk. I needed two 10 inch 8 ohm speakers to complete the 3x10 array in this combo. I'm not currently gigging with this amp but I live rural and I can crank it up and play. These GA10SC64 speakers compliment the remaining blue frame alnico perfectly. If I lose the last blue frame I'm going to get a GA10SC59 to replace it. I would recommend the GA10SC64 for any 10 inch speaker needs especially for an American voiced amp

Was struggling with some unwanted frequencies in the 65 Princeton. This speaker changed that.

Great replacement speaker for Princeton Reverb RI

My amp tech worked on my Deluxe Reverb RI over a year ago and made the amp sound much better. One of the things he did was replace the stock Jensen speaker with a 12" Alessandro SC64.

I figured I should try doing the same replacement (only with a 10" version) to my Princeton. The results were very similar as with the Deluxe. It made the amp sound much better and it's much more fun to play.

It greatly improved touch response and clarity. The bell tones from my strat are amazing now.

Just the best!

I think this is the best replacement speaker for black panel / silver panel amps. I have tried many speakers and none have been able to capture the Fender magic as well as this one does.

I had the 12 inch version in a 65 Deluxe Reverb and now own this 10 inch version in my 67 Princeton Reverb...

It sounds fantastic right out of the box...not something new speakers usually offer.

The lows are round and present and the highs are sweet and pleasant.

The drive sounds are significantly better in my opinion, as the speaker doesn't sound hard or raspy when pushed.

Eminence just has a classic right here.

If you need a new American style speaker for your Fender amps, go with the GA10-SC64!
