An Ultra-versatile Hollowbody Electric Guitar

The Gretsch G6136T-MGC Michael Guy Chislett Signature Falcon is an ultra-versatile hollowbody electric guitar — the vast palette of sounds Michael has coaxed out of it is proof of that. The G6136T-MGC exhibits the perfect blend of punch and brightness, thanks to its hollow Sitka spruce-topped maple body, while TV Jones Classic pickups yield a sweet, vintage character when you plug in. This hollowbody is a joy to play, by virtue of its standard U-shaped maple neck and lightning-fast ebony fingerboard. The G6136T-MGC includes a flexible assortment of tone-shaping controls, plus a Bigsby tailpiece for smooth vibrato action and a super-stable Adjusto-Matic bridge.

A super-versatile hollowbody with amazing tone

The G6136T-MGC boasts a fully hollow body with 1959 trestle bracing — the perfect recipe for tone and resonance. This hollowbody electric guitar’s maple body gives it a lively, bright, and colorful sound, while its solid Sitka spruce top provides a direct, punchy tone with loads of headroom. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that this combination results in an open sound with plenty of snap, that holds up to everything from gentle arpeggios to forceful strumming. From contemporary worship music to pop-punk, the G6136T-MGC delivers the goods. Just ask Michael Guy Chislett — he’s used it for both!

TV Jones Classic pickups deliver timeless Gretsch tone

TV Jones's quest for the perfect pickup all started with a close look at the original Ray Butts PAF ("Patent Applied For) Filter'Tron — a design known for its unforgettable rock 'n' roll bite and sweet, rather than strident, top end. Tom's version, the TV Classic, captures the mojo of this original pickup and perhaps even improves on Ray's time-honored design. The TV Classic neck pickup lands somewhere between a classic California single-coil and a mid-century humbucker in its voicing; the bridge position compensates with a slightly hotter output for greater sustain and breakup. Once you plug the G6136T-MGC Michael Guy Chislett Signature Falcon into your favorite amp and try these pickups for yourself, you’ll understand why the TV Classic is TV Jones's most popular design to date. The G6136T-MGC also includes a treble bleed circuit with Squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitors for an incredibly silky high end.

String-through Bigsby provides sustain and texture

Guitarists far and wide love a classic Bigsby vibrato. And these tailpieces are pretty much synonymous with the Gretsch sound. The Bigsby B6GP on the G6136T-MGC boasts a string-through design that makes restringing it a piece of cake. And the pinned rocking bar bridge and bone nut keep the guitar in tune under heavy vibrato workouts. This great design lets you add subtle texture to chords and break up single-note leads without adverse effects on your sustain.

Nails classic gretsch tones with modern specs !!

Definitely hard to explain everything in text but if you are in the market for a White Falcon you should definitely consider this one. First it does not come with Michael Guys name on the guitar, as much as a fan that I am I would not want a signature on it. I really enjoy the satin neck finish. Makes playing really smooth I think it's a great touch. String through bigsby ,pinned ,bridged and locking tuners are a must. The vintage white finish looks awesome. Love mine, incredible guitar

I bought my white falcon MGC without ever playing one before a few months ago. I was a little nervous doing this, however, I am happy I did. It is an incredible guitar which I find hard to put down, the tone is amazing (I run it through a vox amp). I used to spend a lot of time with effects and eq to get the sound I was looking for but this guitar does most of the heavy lifting and I find it sounds great with most amp settings and effects settings (but incredible clean). This has let me have more range with my pedal board while playing live as the tone does not require its own effects so I can use that space for a larger range. It has really inspired my playing as well. I preferred this model largely because of the features (spruce top, inlays, aged white, tone knob). I think it is the best looking although all the falcons look great. It really is a beautiful guitar, no regrets with the purchase.
