Signature Hollowbody from Gretsch That's Built for Tone!

Get that classic Gretsch tone, playability, and feel with the G6120T Brian Setzer Signature Nashville hollowbody archtop guitar. Designed with meticulous input from Setzer himself, the G6120T conjures the vintage tone and design that have made it a staple among rockabilly, jazz, and rock guitarists for decades. The 6120T features an all-maple body that is light and resonant and finished in a captivating gloss that lets the color really shine through. The maple neck with ebony fingerboard offers incredible playability and response. The Adjusto-Matic bridge with pinned rosewood base and a Bigsby B6C tailpiece provide stellar tuning support, sustain, and tremolo for all kinds of stylistic exploration. And when you're ready to plug in, TV Jones Brian Setzer Signature Filter'Tron pickups kick out all the warm humbucking tone you desire!

Pickups from a legend in the industry

Thomas "TV" Jones has been making waves in the world of pickups for over 25 years, and Brian Setzer was one of his earliest fans. The signature Filter'Trons in the G6120T were actually chosen by Setzer in a blind test that Gretsch put him through years ago. As he tried one after another, he kept coming back to the tone of one particular G6120T. Setzer was blown away by how clean it sounded when fingerpicked without having to change any settings on his amp. He also noticed that when he switched back to flatpicking this G6120T, the tone reverted to a grittier sound — again with no changes in his amp settings. When Setzer asked about the difference between this particular model over the other G6120T guitars, the answer was TV Jones. He was sold. And from that day forward, Setzer has played TV Jones–designed Filter'Trons to get his legendary tone. It doesn't end with these incredible pickups alone — a 3-way pickup selector and a master volume control offer more tone-shaping options as well.

Neck built for speed and feel

The maple neck with ebony fingerboard on the G6120T is cut to a Vintage "V" profile that invites fast lead runs and comfortable chording up and down the neck. The 22 medium jumbo frets also add to the comfort of this incredible neck, and the dot side markers and neo-classic thumbnail inlays give it a captivating visual presentation for both you and your audience. This neck is a huge favorite among guitarists here at Sweetwater!

Buy this Gretsch!

I own 3 Gretsch guitars. The Rev. Horton Heat, The Setzer Hot Rod, and this Setzer Nashville. It plays the best of the three. Fast neck, the TV Jones pups have have a great bark and bite. And it looks absolutely beautiful. And 300$ bonus bucks with my purchase! Go buy this guitar! You won't be disappointed.

awesome!

Love this thing. A couple of things stand out about this guitar worth mentioning that might help others who are shopping... They swapped the pickup selector switch and the mud switch from the traditional positions. This is something I believe Setzer has done for quite a while, and it is far more practical. The neck carve is a soft V, which I don't remember ever playing on a Gretsch before. It is addictive. The nitro finish is not at all sticky, which is a pleasant surprise. Usually you have to play in a nitro neck for up to a year before it starts to feel smooth and slick. Not sure how they pulled this off. Last thing: Included in the case was a pair of silver Gretsch knobs for those of us who do not want the dice. The dice were supposed to just pull off, but they were either glued on or so tightly press fit that the only way to remove them was to pull the stems out of the pots and then replace the pots. This is a pain if you haven't done it before but I was lucky enough to have a kit that TV Jones sells that helps route the pots, switches and jack into a hollow body, so I only needed to order a couple of solid shaft long stem 500k pots to complete the swap. These pickups are a bit more versatile than the traditional TV Classics. Experience with Sweetwater has been really good and my rep Brian Dillon has been super helpful for years now.
