Gretsch g5230 is a great investment

I just purchased a demo version of this exact same guitar from sweetwater. I must say it has a very stunning tone, powerful character, rich solid feel and the looks of a vintage hot rod. I owned a custom monte carlo painted the same color silver and it had a wood steering wheel that matches the color on the back and neck of this guitar ...
I love it. Feels and sounds awesome. Plays easy and stays in tune.
You can't go wrong with this axe. No other guitars look like this one, very special in deed...

Gretsch 5320 LH

I've always been your traditional Fender/Gibson guy. I even have a Kramer. I was looking for something that wasn't the traditional Fender/Gibson sound and that wasn't a traditional single coil or humbucker. I looked at the Epiphone Les Paul Special P90, the Epiphone Casino, the Epiphone ES 335, the Gretsch 5422, the Gretsch streamliner, and this. My background is Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Grunge, Metal, and some Country. I also have played 10 years in the band at church. This was exactly what I was looking for, and the exact sound I want to compliment my Gibson and Kramer. It's as if Gibson and Fender had a baby. It's a spanky, bright humbucker. I love it. The neck feels great, the finish looks like a million bucks. This has made me wonder why I've never considered Gretsch before. It can handle all of the genres listed above. If you're looking for something that's not the traditional sound we've all heard a 1000 times then I would urge you to consider this. I am not disappointed. Thank you Sweetwater!

Tops

I bought this guitar from S.W. I wanted the Filtron pups because of the jangly refined sound to play rhythm on my recordings using my Strat and Les Paul with Seth Lover pups for the lead work and adding dimension to the songs I write. I write in the vein of Yardbirds, Stones, and the late Beatles.
The guitar arrived via FedX at a safe Walgreens drop-off point. It arrived quickly and safely.
It was so well packed that nothing short of a tactical nuke would harm it.
This guitar arrived with perfect intonation, and perfect low action, and is a joy to behold.
Plugged it in, and heaven did happen. Perfect for that ghost rhythm I love to have in the background.
In particular, the sales agent, Cameron G was extremely helpful and oversaw everything to the end.
I now totally trust S.W. for quality and will purchase from them from now on due to quality and follow-up. I am impressed. And this guitar with those Filtertrons are the dead hand!
Have a fine day,
Keith
