An Excellent Crossover Guitar

If you're looking for any easy transition to classical guitar from a steel-string acoustic, you'll love the Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II. The 12 Rose II is aptly named, with 12 frets up to the neck joint, 19 frets, and a cutaway design for easy access. Crossover guitarists will feel comfortable with the thin-profile mahogany neck and 1.875-inch nut width. And for optimum tone, the 12 Rose II sports rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce top. You even get the Fishman Presys pickup system for optimum-sounding plugged-in performance. For a fast-playing, great-looking, and rich-sounding nylon-string guitar, get the Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II.

Ideal crossover guitar

The Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II's mahogany neck has a thinner profile than most nylon-string guitars, making it more comfortable for steel-string acoustic players and electric players. The Fusion 12 Rose II also has a smaller nut width of 1.875 inches for an even easier transition. It's also a great feeling instrument if you have smaller hands but don't want to go with a smaller 3/4 size guitar.

Premium tonewoods

Cordoba's Fusion 12 Rose II features rosewood back and sides with a mahogany neck for a powerful yet balanced low-midrange. It's a great combination with the Sitka spruce top, which has excellent projection and liveliness. You'll love the great sustain and detail of the 12 Rose II's tone.

Fishman electronics

Your Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II has a built-in Fishman Presys pickup system for superb plugged-in tone. Whether you're playing live or just want an easy way to record, you'll love how the Fishman Presys system picks up every nuance of your performance.

Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II Nylon-string Guitar Features:

  • Thinner, narrower neck and built-in electronics make this an ideal crossover guitar
  • Rich, balanced tone courtesy of premium tonewoods
  • Excellent projection and dynamics due to the classic fan bracing construction
  • Sounds great plugged-in with Fishman Presys electronics built-in

Why Buy Your Guitar from Sweetwater?

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Cordoba Fusion

Beautiful to look at as well as play. I am 80 years old and have owned at least 70 guitars if not more. Cordoba makes a great nylon string guitar. This model is great for someone that does not really like the wide neck on classical guitars. I play all kinds of guitars poorly lol but going back and forth from say an electric to nylon is great with the dimensions on this Cordoba. It has fret markers on the top of the fretboard to help you remember where you are. It also is both acoustic alone or amified. There is also a built in tuner which I like. The tone is awesome, rich and the thicker strings are deep which bass players and others will enjoy hearing. Sweetwater has the best sales and customer support of any online I have have had experience with which is over a dozen thru the years. Can you tell I am happy with my purchase? I am.

Incredible guitar. Superb Nylon guitar for steel strings player

I am an extremely fussy pro level guitarist, who has played for years. I've owned many high end Stella string acoustic instruments, notably Martins, Taylors, Breedloves, and Takamine Pro series guitars. My steel stringed instrument of choice now, with tendinitis and arthritis in my hands is the Martin 000-18, with a factory installed Fishman pickup. So, finding a Nylon stringed guitar that was as close in ease of playability and sound was a long quest. I've tried and owned several of the Cordoba Fusion series competitors, and was dissatisfied with all of them, for various reasons (ease of play, workmanship, tone, overall sound, etc. Finally, I took a chance on the Cordoba Fusion 12 Rose II. I am so glad I did. The quality of the instrument is superb. The all Rosewood construction ( Spruce top, with the Rosewood overlay)is beautiful, the craftsmanship is equal to that of Martin or Taylor. Sound wise, it is warm and sweet, with great tone production. For a small bodied guitar, it has a lot of power, without sacrificing warmth and clarity. Size wise, it is very close to a 000 Martin, and the 16" radiused neck makes it easy to transition from steel strings to nylon. I waited the recommended 24 hours before opening the carton (not easy, but smart to do), and then put the guitar through its paces. It is equally superb sounding unplugged, and amplified, through my Fishman Loudbox. Overall, it is the equal of a Martin or Taylor $ guitar, at a third of the price. Sweetwater was extremely helpful and professional in their sales and informational operations— I highly recommend them as a top instrument dealership. My only suggestion to potential purchasers of this guitar is to get rid of the Savarez Corum strings—always hated them. Personally, I would put on D'Addario Pro Arte J45s on the guitar, as they are warmer, and less brittle sounding. I realize that is personal taste, but the D'Addario strings are far easy to,play.
