Moving-head Spotlight with Extra-powerful Features
ADJ's Focus Spot 5Z boasts features that make it one of the most powerful spotlights in the ADJ catalog. This compact fixture is powered by a 200-watt cool white LED engine with motorized zoom and focus. A pair of 8-slot color wheels, an independent gobo wheel, and two prism wheels give you some serious visual capability. And if that's not enough versatility for you, two frost filters create soft-edged wash looks. The Focus Spot 5Z's lightweight chassis is designed to be installed anywhere. Suited for ceilings high and low
The Focus Spot 5Z is powered by a 200-watt cool white LED engine, which makes it ideal for venues with high ceilings. Its motorized focus and 11- to 22-degree adjustable beam angle also make the 5Z a perfect choice for venues that have lower ceilings or longer projection distances. The motorized focus allows you to create beautifully sharp and compelling projections, no matter what the projection distance is. Sweetwater's team of lighting experts love to use the Focus Spot 5Z's incredibly smooth 16-bit 0–100% dimmer between songs and during instrument switches.

The Focus Spot 5Z was born after lighting professionals in houses of worship, and theaters requested that ADj add a few extra features to its popular 4Z model. ADJ obliged, and added extra frost filters, more colors, Silent Fan mode, and a new selection of gobos to make it a true theatrical fixture. We've provided a short overview of the major performance features below.
Two color wheels
If you're a fan of the Focus Spot 4Z, you'll adore the colors of the 5Z. It features a pair of color wheels, each with eight colors, plus white. The first wheel has the same punchy colors as the 4Z. The second color wheel gives you a selection of pastel shades to choose from. It also gives you access to UV, CTO, and CTB color correction filters.
Independent gobo wheel
The Focus Spot 5Z is equipped with a gobo wheel that holds six removable and rotatable aluminum gobos. The included gobos showcase more texture and have different breakup options than other ADJ gobos. The fixture also comes stock with a 4-color dichroic glass gobo for multicolored effects. Each gobo includes indexed rotation for precise orientation of logos, lines, and other designs.
Silent Fan mode
When your stage falls silent, there's nothing worse than a noisy fan in the background. When a quiet moment is on the horizon, use DMX to trigger Silent Fan mode. This mode dims the LED to 70%, which enables the fans to slow down and become almost silent. When things get going again, switch back to regular operation and enjoy the full beam.
Circular and linear prisms
There are two prisms nestled inside the Focus Spot 5Z —a 5-facet linear prism and 6-facet circular prism. Both area indexed and able to be rotated at custom speeds, giving you the option to choose how subtle or impactful your visual effects are.
Two frost filters
Possibly the most useful additions to the 5Z are the two frost filters — Light and Heavy. The light frost filter is great for taking the hard edge off of your open spot. Heavy frost provides an excellent wash effect, especially when you pair it with color filters.
