All the power you need

Using this instead of batteries has been nice. You get an LED that shows you what kind of charge you have left, and it lasts weeks without charging. I have had this in for almost 3 weeks on the first charge. Definitley worth getting! This will also power EMG, or other active pickups, as well. Fit perfect on my Les Paul Traditional.

I have been working on amps and guitars for over 30yrs, so this was a very easy install for me as I'm an electronic engineer. Fishman has wiring diagrams on their website for pretty much every config. They are easy to follow, but if you're not that good with a soldering iron (especially in tight places) you might want to find a good tech that you trust to install this.

Coulda Been 5 Stars

I love this thing! Looks subtle and normal. Hides the battery well. And the charge lasts and lasts! I used to charge once a month but wanted to see how long I could go between charge. It think it's been more than 2. I keep the charger in the case to be safe if it's needed. But I usually charge it over night while it sits on a stand. Super easy!

It COULD have been 5 stars if there was a low battery indicator. But I can't seem to find it anywhere. There's a charger indicator. When you're charging it shows orangey red, and when it's full it's green. But once the USB is unplugged there seems to be no way to tell what the battery life is. If I could give 4.75 stars I would. But 4.5 is the second highest option. This, and the pickups, work beautifully! I absolutely love it and have zero regrets!

Once you get it to fit it is great

This back plate does not fit the Epiphone Prophecy, and that is ironic since that is the only Gibson/Epiphone that has Fishman Fluent pickups. I had to take the back plate that come with my Phophecy and use it as a template to shape the Fishman battery back to fit the guitar. the battery system work very well to this point.

Battery pack

The battery pack is perfect in function but does not fit on an Epiphone les Paul , I feel there should be two variations because now my pack sticks out the back of my guitar but otherwise it is a good product and will work on all Gibson les pauls

Update to my previous review….

I have decided that I will keep the product even with its ill fitment. Hopefully Fishman will address the fitment issue for future consumers. However until then be advised the Les Paul back plate version of the Rechargeable battery pack kit does not properly fit on the Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins 7 String. The back plate does not fit into the routed out portion where it should fit. Screw holes may line up if it actually fit not 100% sure on that. I managed to get it on ok and it is better than buying 9volt batteries as expensive as they are always! So I guess the pros outweigh the cons to me? I plan to follow this review with contact to Fishman and to let them be aware of the issue and maybe they will improve the future product. Aside from the fitment issue I think it works perfectly and was easy to install took about 10-20 mins. Desolder, remove and replace then solder and it was installed. Easiest mod I have done to a guitar in quite awhile!
