High Quality Mic!

Noticed an instant improvement with this mic replacing our Shure microflex podium mic. Great overall sound and quality. Sweetwater was super helpful with recommending this product!

Precision

I have been using several Earthworks Audio's SR20 for live and studio recordings of Jazz and classical music. I recently added a couple of FMR720 because they are less conspicuous on the live stages. These small diaphragm condensers give better results than large diaphragm microphones at live recordings, because they are precise, i.e. uncolored, and their frequency response is nearly direction independent, which is important because musicians move around at live situations. From precision point of view, FMR720 and SR20 are easy winner on side by side comparison over large diaphragms that I own ( Neumann TLM193, Audiotechnica AT4047 etc ).

Clarity and Power

The clarity of this mic is just amazing!
Also the fact that it is powerful enough to perform well when the speaker is not real close it is equally great.
Only drawback is it has a pretty good 'pop' on certain syllables. Probably a good pop foam tip would help. Remains to be seen.
