Great cables, takes patience

The guy above is correct in that these are tough to get right. If you turn the jack back and forth as you push the cable onto the little post inside they will fit snug and and work perfectly. Also, you need to cut the cable straight across USING ONLY A RAZOR BLADE. Any other cutting method (Wire cutters, etc.) will pinch the ends of the cable and render the cable useless. If you use a razor blade and twist back and forth, you will have no problem. They really really cleaned up the rats nest of cable on my board.

Tough to Figure Out But Great When Done Right

Agree with previous comments that these can be difficult to get right. When done correctly though, this is a great product, they really clean up your board nicely. I also didn't feel like there were any problems with the sound I got with them, so they seem like quality cables. The problem really was getting the connections right. I was getting it right about half the time (I bought extra cables anticipating this). You're not given a lot of specific guidance on how to do this right. I tried watching YouTube videos on it but it's a lot of trial and error at the end of the day. Considering these aren't cheap I'm not sure if I'd recommend but there are definitely positives with this product.

Worst Product I've Ever Seen

Making solderless patch cables is a cinch; unless you're using this product. Not a single cable I made with this Emerson kit worked. I've used other company's products many times in the past and never had a single problem; ever. I feel like Emerson just stole my money. TOTAL GARBAGE.

Save yourself the frustration.

These are great patch cables IF you can get a solid connection. That sadly is near impossible, there is no technique or anything, its a guessing game. It's beyond frustrating as you snip away cable ends till you cut the length too short and you've wasted all that cable. the instructions don't work. If you have no problem with these cables then please reveal your secret!.
