A Luxury ES-335 with Incredible Looks, Tone, and Playability

From blues to jazz to rock, there’s just no substitute for the vibrant tone and supreme playing comfort of the Gibson ES-335 Figured. Its iconic semi-hollowbody with feedback-fighting center block and premium Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups make the ES-335 Figured play like a treasured classic. A super-stable, thermally engineered quartersawn mahogany neck and Plek’d rosewood fretboard with rolled binding gives this upscale ’335 a smooth, precision feel to accommodate diverse playing styles. Flaunting a stunning AAA-grade maple top, the Gibson ES-335 Figured is a high-class take on a legendary electric guitar that helped shape the sound of modern music.

One of a kind

From its first appearance in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 set an unmatched standard for playability, and today’s ’335 Figured carries on the tradition. Handcrafted with a thermally engineered maple center block and quartersawn Adirondack spruce bracing, guitarists will be impressed by the lightweight feel and extended tonal range of this amazing guitar. Gibson’s Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups are paired with the company’s handwired control assembly with Orange Drop capacitors. The result is the immensely versatile Gibson ES tone that guitarists have craved for over six decades — on steroids. Precise intonation and tuning stability are provided by Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, paired with a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, anchored by steel thumbwheels and tailpiece studs.

Legendary tone from T-Type humbuckers

Tonal excellence is yours when you plug the Gibson ES-335 Figured into your favorite tube amplifier. Loaded with a pair of calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups, each with its own volume and tone controls, you’ll be able to dial in chiming country tones as easily as savagely distorted rock tones. The neck pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from jazz to dirty blues. Flip to the bridge position, and you’ll command sounds covering everything from bright and clean to raw and mean. The guitar gurus here at Sweetwater all concur: playing this guitar is a sublime experience.

Rounded neck carve and Plek’d frets for optimized playability

Comfort and playability were two of Gibson’s primary concerns when they were designing the ES-335 Figured. You’ll be delighted at how this guitar’s Rounded C neck profile comfortably fills your hand in just the right way. For your playing pleasure, the dark rosewood fingerboard is buffed to silky smoothness and bound with rolled edges so no fret ends impede your dexterity. The frets are dressed to perfection using a Plek Pro machine for optimized playability. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you’re likely to own.

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

ES-335 (antique,Natural)

I have several blonde 335s, they are a fantastic instrument. This is the 1st guitar that has a good perhaps better flame top as my 335 is a reissue, which is a 1990.*Don't like reflector knobs, you pictured, reissues in antique Natural, originally used different ones, brown top hats. Live the 335s,& 355s!
Music background: 55+yrs playing.

Great guitar and good Sweetwater experience

Finally becoming familiar with my new ES335. It is absolutely gorgeous and sounds terrific. I'm an old Fender Tele guy (still love my tele!) so there's a learning curve but I'm coming up to speed. Great range of sounds. Very easy to play. I put on locking tuners as is my habit (just for string changing ease). The 1950-style PU switch wiring was new to me but I'm actually liking it now that I know how to use it. Sweetwater was v helpful throughout the buying process which had a couple of v. small bumps. This is my second guitar from Sweetwater and each was in great shape when I received it.

From rockers to jazz cats, there are generations of guitarists right here at Sweetwater who swear by Gibson guitars. Not only do they make many of the most iconic solidbody electric guitars of all time - the Les Paul, the SG, the Flying V - but they also produce classic hollowbody and semi-hollowbody models and some of the most iconic acoustic guitars on the planet. We play them all! Our close relationship with Gibson often allows us to stock exclusive models and rare finds, and we're always happy to turn players and collectors on to the gems in the Sweetwater Guitar Gallery. We also have access to all the latest Gibson hardware, and the Sweetwater Guitar Repair Shop has upgraded countless guitars with their top-of-the-line humbuckers, classic P-90s, and more.
