The Most Comprehensive BOSS EQ Pedal Ever

With top-notch sound quality and three different frequency range settings, the BOSS EQ-200 is possibly the most versatile graphic equalizer pedal ever devised for guitar and bass. And thanks to its stereo I/O, it could be a big benefit to your keyboard rig too. The EQ-200 actually offers dual EQs that can be configured for stereo, series, or parallel operation, and an insert function even allows you to add external effects pedals with pre- and/or post-equalization. Each band offers 15dB of boost or cut, and thanks to its global level control, you can even tailor the BOSS EQ-200 graphic EQ pedal to be your go-to boost pedal as well.

Four memory slots for your custom EQ profiles

Guitarists and bassists at Sweetwater agree that one of the best uses for a graphic EQ pedal is to solve sonic issues pertaining to specific rooms, amplifiers, and instruments. Thankfully, the BOSS EQ-200 offers four memory slots to save your most-used settings, whether it's dialing back a peaky midrange frequency for your Tele, cutting low-end rumble and mud from your five-string bass, or helping to balance your favorite amplifier for the small club you play every month.

Dual EQs with stereo, series, or parallel routing modes

The EQ-200 pedal is actually running two 10-band graphic EQs simultaneously, and you can choose to utilize them in series, in parallel, or in stereo. Musicians running dual-amplifier rigs will definitely appreciate the stereo functionality, allowing you to fine-tune your signal for each individual amplifier.

Adjustable frequency settings accommodate guitars, basses, and more

Instead of sticking you with set frequency values, the EQ-200 pedal allows you to select from three different frequency ranges. Select from 30Hz to 12.8kHz, 32Hz to 16kHz, or 28Hz to 14kHz, depending on your instrument and the frequencies you need to focus on. Whether you're playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, keys, or all of them throughout the same set, the BOSS EQ-200 graphic EQ pedal has you covered.

BOSS EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer Pedal Features:

  • 10-band graphic EQ pedal for guitar, bass, and keyboards

Nice

I'm a keyboard guy so I like that it's in stereo. I also like the option of being able to use an expression pedal with it as well, even though I have not used it yet. Just nice all around and quality built too. Works for me.

BOSS EQ200

Did a lot of reading about eq's for my wife's Yamaha MX-88 keyboard. Sound was good but lacked a rich tone so after the research I purchased the Boss EQ 200 and it made a world of difference. Richer tone and can make presets on the eq for different voices on the keyboard. A must if you want more tone control from your keyboard.

Great Tool!

The eq settings on most amps work, but they are relatively crude tools in my experience. This unit is sort of like the surgeon's scalpel in that regard. You can really dial in the tone you are looking for - graphic memory slots and overall gain a huge plus. The device is whisper quiet and does not contribute any perceptible noise to the equation. I do use a pedal-board power conditioner so i'm sure that helps with the power cleanliness and lack of ground loops. Really happy with this unit! I placed it on top of my amp for easy access.?

Powerful tone sculpting…and more than any other EQ I’ve used.

There's the unkept, yet strangely ignored, secret of using an EQ to drastically shape the sound of one's guitar. I wish folks just heeded the advice to use one; the world would be a better place! Anyway, I previously used the criminally underrated Boss GE-7 and can say the EQ-200 is from another planet in terms of its capabilities. Stereo EQ, series EQ, parallel EQ, independent settings per channel, pitch adjustment selection (from a preset list of options), tons of presets, a nifty display, and MIDI. I've not yet begun to use all of its features. Best EQ for pedalboards hands down. If you run multiple amps, multiple guitars, and/or a stereo setup this is unequivocally the EQ to get. Plus, based on its sonic attributes and long list of features, it's a superb value.

Great equalizer!

I play in a band where I switch off between electric and amplified acoustic guitars. I have been using two separate pedal boards, a boutique tube amp (Swart) and for the acoustics either my Fishman amp or the PA system. I wanted to simplify my rig for the smaller gigs by trying to use use one pedal board and run everything through the Swart. This Boss EQ allowed me to preset and save EQ settings for each of my 4 acoustic guitars - Gibson Songwriter, Gryphon, Taylor 12 string and Goldtone Dobro. I can quickly turn the EQ on when needed and easily and quickly toggle between my presets. The tones I am getting are very close to what I could get through a PA system and I bring less equipment, take up less floor space, and feel more in control. This has been a game changer for me. And I have yet to create additional presets for my electric guitars! Great pedal, absolutely love it!
