A Compact Rock Machine

Get fat and driving classic rock tones with the Friedman Dirty Shirley all-tube combo guitar amplifier. Based on the sought-after JTM 45 amp, the Dirty Shirley gives you a wide range of tones from smooth and clean to Friedman's famous high-gain tones. The response and sensitivity of this amp is amazing, roll back your guitar's volume control to for clean tones and turn it up for crunch and sustain. Powered by a pair of 5881 power tubes, Friedman Amplification's Dirty Shirley tube amp combo is a must have when you need that classic rock sound.

An all-tube rock 'n' roll machine

With 40 watts of all-tube power, the Friedman Dirty Shirley guitar amp combo gives you killer classic rock tones through a single 12-inch Celestion G12H-150 Redback speaker. Ranging from shimmering cleans to slightly overdriven tones to pushed lead tones a la Zep, ZZ, and Eddie, this rock 'n' roll powerhouse has the tones you're looking for. A 3-position switch lowers your overall gain structure - the highest setting delivers the Dirty Shirley's original sound while the lower two yield phenomenal vintage-tinged tones. A duo of 5881 power tubes, a favorite among Sweetwater guitarists, delivers a punchy and touch responsive sound that guitar players long for. When you're rocking out and need to clean up your tone just roll back your guitar's volume and keep playing. If you're looking for classic rock tones in a compact package, then you need the Friedman Dirty Shirley combo amp!

I was sceptical like one should spending this kind of money played my new Fender and then my brand new Gibson Led Paul Blue Berry Burst and OMG everyone was as blown away as I was I'm sold not just on Dirty Shirley but the whole darn Friedman line it was WAY MORE THAN IT WAS SAID TO BE.
Even with head phones this Dirty Shirley is just the start it will be my carry practice and at home will soon be a stack full stack at that if you don't try this your missing out on true warm face ripping rock sound don't say I told you so

Timmy

I received my 40 watt combo dirty Shirley amp today and man did it shock me. I was worried all day wondering if I had trown my money away again because I know how they can docter this stuff up to make it sound wonderful when really it sucks, but boy did I get fooled this time. I unboxed it and it really dosent way that much and I said to my self man that sure feels light for something that cost 28 hundred clams, well I hooked it up with sweat beads rolling all down my face and back worried to death wondering if I had mad another mistake, man I hooked it up took abot I half minute to fix the settings and only had it on volume 2 and it blew my hair back, I said man ive finally found what ive been looking for I was like a kid on Christmas morning it is the best sound amp I have ever played in my life, every word they tell us about that amp is true. if you want that 70s 80s and country music this is the amp all I had to have was an echo pedal and I was ready to rock n roll. I give this a 5 star with out a doubt, don't hesitate to get this amp, I'm telling you its the real deal,...!!!!!!

Neat.

OK. So I first I have to put out there that my Sweetwater engineer warned me about this thing. He mentioned that it was a pretty rowdy rig. Oh boy, was that an understatement. So I plug in my LP Traditional and hit an open A cord. I am still grinning several hours later. I couldn't make this thing sound bad. When I brought the bass up past noon it felt just like standing in front of a kick drum. Tight and focused and huge. So it does the LP thing. I decided to plug in my Tele and see what happened there. The neck pickup sounded like a warm safe place that if I was a child that I....Wait a minute. It was the sound of heaven. Warm and buttery smooth. I didn't even try the bridge pick up. Why would you with what was coming out of the neck? By the way, this amp really likes loud. And it doesn't seem to do pristine cleans. Shirley is dirty and that's how she rolls.
