Power, Performance, and Easy System Integration

The Yamaha DZR315-D offers superb clarity and best-in-class SPL performance. This 3-way bi-amped PA speaker boasts a high-power 2,000-watt Class D amplifier and a 31Hz–20kHz frequency range, and it can tackle any application you throw at it. Sophisticated DSP processing yields high-resolution sound with super-low latency, while optimized presets and an intuitive LCD display make dialing in your settings a piece of cake. Built-in Dante capabilities enable smart system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices. The DZR315-D also operates effectively as a stage monitor. The DZR315-D employs a lightweight yet durable plywood cabinet with a premium-grade polyurea coating.

Sophisticated DSP processing

At Sweetwater, we're impressed by the DZR315-D's intelligent DSP processing. Yamaha's Advanced FIR-X tuning employs a combination of FIR filtering and corrective EQ to minimize phase distortion, ensuring smooth frequency response, stunning clarity, and accurate sound imaging. D-Contour is an intelligent multiband compressor that maintains the ultimate in clarity, even when you push the DZR315-D to its highest output level. D-Contour features two settings, FOH/Main and Monitor mode, allowing you to fine-tune the DZR315-D's sound based on your application. You also get DSP protection that safeguards your power supply, power amplifiers, and transducers against damage. Despite all this powerful DSP, the DZR315-D remains easy to use, thanks to optimized factory presets and an intuitive LCD screen.

Custom-designed transducers

The Yamaha DZR315-D is loaded with great-sounding, custom-designed transducers. Its high-frequency transducer includes a 2-inch voice coil and 1-inch throat compression driver, a titanium diaphragm, and neodymium magnet housed in a heat-resistant aluminum-cast frame. Its mid-frequency transducer features an 8-inch cone and 1.5-inch voice coil, yielding maximum efficiency and super-low distortion for low-mid frequencies. Its low-frequency transducer uses a large 3-inch voice coil, cast-aluminum frame, and powerful yet lightweight neodymium magnet to handle the chest-thumping low end that the DZR315-D delivers. The DZR315-D isn't just all about power, however. Its low-end response is tightly controlled, especially in the mid-bass and vocal range, assuring crystal-clear sound reproduction — even at cranked volumes.

Built-in Dante capabilities

Integrating the DZR315-D with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices is a breeze. The DZR315-D features a built-in 2-in/2-out Dante interface, along with sample rate conversion, allowing 48kHz device compatibility. Benefit from simplified patching with Yamaha's CL/QL digital consoles from their I/O device display, while TF console users can select Quick Config for fast, easy setup. You can also combine the DZR315-D's Analog I/O with Dante I/O, supplying you with flexible routing and system configuration. Or use the Dante break-In and break-Out function to act as a simple I/O box. Beyond that, Yamaha’s ProVisionare Control software for Windows and ProVisionare Touch for iPad are also Dante compatible, giving you added remote management of your system.

High-power Class D amplifier

Loaded with 2,000 watts of Class D power, the Yamaha DZR315-D is a beast. It delivers an impressive 143dB SPL, so go ahead and crank it up — the DZR315-D can take it. Enjoy maximum power, along with stable, worry-free operation, thanks to a universal switching-mode power supply. Beyond that, this amp was optimized to match the DZR315-D's transducers, ensuring top-tier sound quality.

DZR315

I have always enjoyed Yamaha products….dirt bikes, 3-wheelers, home stereo equipment (Aventage currently) Ive used their MG line of mixers. Played their electronic drums, even had an outboard boat motor. Remarkable company. So when I started looking for mains to replace my Peavey SP1Xs (also a very nice rare model) It didn't take long to end up looking at Yamaha. I did consider EV ETX, some of the Turbo Sound gear is killer as well, when I compared the DZR315 specs to the others I knew they would or at least SHOULD be special. Again, Yamaha didn't disappoint. At this price point I don't know what more you could expect. I even ordered a RCF NX45 and a single DZR315 because I couldn't find anywhere to demo these speakers. It really wasn't a fair match. The RCFs are great speakers but 1400 watts vs 2000, 2 way vs 3 way, 56 pounds vs 100+ The Yamaha was just superior in every way. And those two speakers are within a couple hundred bucks of one another. I feel the JBL SRX835P might match up better (at least according to specs) but I never rode a wheelie on a JBL so there's that.

GREAT SOUND

This box has a great sound very nice low end . helps a bunch if you limited on space and cant use a sub.very quick setup with the dante network. I used 2 of these boxes with a Jbl double 18 powered sub and i was very impressed . i don't like the screen on the back of the box to change settings and eq . would be nice if you had the ability to connect remotely with a computer or ipad .
