Great Sound with a Handy Single-ear Design!

Beyerdynamic's DT252 headphones are a great pick for both broadcast and studio applications. Thanks to their single-ear design, you can still hear the natural acoustics of your voice and what's going on the room - a feature many vocalists prefer, as it tends to improve intonation. Of course, the DT252 closed dynamic headphones also make great "cue" headphones for DJ applications. There's a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter included with the headphones, so you'll be able to use them wherever you need. Thick, comfortable padding ensure you can use your DT252s during long on-air or recording sessions.

Beyerdynamic DT252 Single-ear Closed Dynamic Headphones at a Glance:
  • Single-ear design works well for recording, broadcast, and DJ applications
  • Included 1/8" to 1/4" adapter for use with a variety of gear

Single-ear design works well for recording, broadcast, and DJ applications
The single-ear design of the Beyerdynamic DT252 headphones lends itself well to broadcast and DJ cueing applications. Although, many studios like to stock up on the DT252s, as musicians (vocalists, in particular) frequently like to hear their natural sound in the room so they can blend more effectively and creatively with other musicians.

Beyerdynamic DT252 Single-ear Broadcast Headphone - Closed

I've been playing guitar for about 60 years. I've made my living playing professionally (small venues and churches) for approx 80% of my adult life. I started with a school mate band in 10th grade playing rock and then moved onto acoustic rock style (ryhthm/mostly big fat open chords) until I retired. The church music I played after 12/1987 used the same style of music, so I played the same stuff for a long time. I retired in August of '16 and lost my left ear hearing the same weekend I played my last gig. I didn't play at all for over 2 years because when I picked up my Guild acoustic, I was playing the same old stuff. Also, the hearing problem didn't help my attitude. However, I ended the 2 yr drought by deciding to play electric lead guitar and got a free Squire and practice amp and a Beyerdynamic DT252 Single-ear Broadcast Headphone. I play at least 2 hrs a day and have moved into jazz. Learning different styles has brought life back to my playing I live with 3 family members in a small home and they cannot hear me at all. Now, play through a PodGo and mix it with my computer (online lessons) in a XENYX502 mixer and into the headphones. I couldn't be happier. PS I'm now playing a Sire H7 and all my equipment has been purchased through Sweetwater.

Awesome Single Ear Headphones

Totally love the much better feel with only one ear covered. Quality and comfortable cushion makes long usage easy and fun while I make content for my YouTube channel "ClubMusic420".

Good for what it is

I bought this for practicing guitar at work with a small modeling amp. It works great for that. I can still hear what's going on and can hear my guitar at the same time. I also like that I can hear how my guitar sounds not plugged in in one ear since distortion of any kind can hide small errors. Plus their made in Germany.

Great for cellists

I like to be close to my cello when I record. This single ear headphone is perfect for this! No more do I have to record with my head tilted so the other ear phone doesn't hit the pegs of my cello.

Beyerdynamic DT252 HEadphones

I have several of these single sided headphones that are used for vocal monitors in our small rehearsal area, they are ideal for that purpose, because the vocals can be heard clearly through the headphones and the music with the other ear, they also reduce feedback that would otherwise be present with floor monitors, very pleased with the product.
