Solid drawer with weak latches

Everything about this drawer is well built... Except the latch! Sweetwater's return program is allowing me the opportunity to do a swap with a new one in case i got a bad batch, but this same thing happened on two of the drawers, so i'll have to see when i receive the replacements.

I don't know if this is just an issue with these kinds of latches and isn't entirely brand dependent, but it seems like something they'd want to address so as to limit the costs associated with returns.

Also, if i was the only reviewer with the the issue i'd write it off as a production mistake, which does happen. But it seems this is a normal problem. We'll see! If the next two work then i might revise the review, otherwise i'll be returning again and looking at another brand.

Rack Drawer

The latch broke on this drawer with in two weeks of having it in my rack. I ended up installing the lock and using the lock to keep the drawer closed. Other than that it serves its purpose. Sweetwater offered to replace it but it did not seem worth the hassle to swap one poorly designed drawer for another.

Solid drawer, cheap latch

Everything on this drawer is quality except for the latch. We've ordered and returned two of these due to the latch breaking on the first open. The 4U Gator drawer is great. Just stay away from this unit.
