Clean & transparent channel strip

One of my go-to channel strips for voiceover and really anything. Especially when I don't want additional color, this thing delivers every time.

It’s not Console1 without the SSL 9000K

I understand why the 4000 is included as standard with Console1, but any owner should consider this a necessity. If you have the money, expand into their Weiss collection or individual plugins, but at the end of the day, if you own a Console1 and mix modern music, their 9000K emulation is a beautiful sound.

I use this on every track

Already having the SSL 4000 E that comes with Console 1, adding the 9000K series really helps fill out my SSL setup. Using both in tandem with a SSL Sigma gives me a great hybrid ITB / OTB setup. My own hybrid SSL desk!

I love how clean this plugin sounds and the EQ is legendary.

Worth the addition. Next up for me is the British Class A.

After being blown away by the sound of the Console 1 SSL 4K, adding the characteristics of the 9K was a perfect progression. I use Console 1 everyday and on every session. This emulation does not disappoint. The VHD 2nd and 3rd order harmonic flavors add a different tone compared to the 4K (or the British Class A). The ability to mix and match EQ, Dynamics and console tone allows you to create the best console for each track in your session. I don't care if these emulations sound exactly like the real consoles, I only care how they help me produce a great mix. And they do. I also have the British Class A and it sounds entirely different than the 4K or 9K. The ability to save setting is a great feature. I can now insert the 4K with a Neve EQ with my snare setting (same as my Waves VEQ4 setting) and it sounds great. Get all three and have fun getting the sound you like.

So I literally had to be convinced by my friends and colleagues to get not just console 1 but this little gem of an add on right here and I'm so happy I did. Not only is it the only SSL XL 9000 K console plugin in the world (crazy right) but it is 100% sponsored by SSL themselves and that caught my eye. So doing research I found that the 9000 is the premier console for some of my favorite top mixers and with such a rich history behind that I couldn't at the least try it out and see what all the fuss was about right?!

Wow...Yeah, like that.
