With tonewood resources dwindling, Martin is doing their part to preserve this valuable resource. To do that without compromising their storied build quality, Martin leaned on the expertise of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) to procure sustainably sourced tonewoods. FSC works with local growers and sawmills to ethically harvest resources, promote worker's rights and employment conditions, protect indigenous peoples' rights, and much more. Forest products that meet FSC standards are recognized as FSC-certified. By using FSC-certified tonewoods for the Concert Ukulele FSC, Martin is making a serious step forward in ethical instrument production. And players can own a world-class ukulele guilt free.
