A Top-shelf 7-string Axe for Serious Musicians

Looking for a top-shelf 7-string guitar? The Schecter C-7 SLS Evil Twin delivers. Its smoothly contoured swamp ash body generates tones with brightness and warmth, along with mids that "pop." Beyond that, the C-7 SLS Evil Twin supplies access to sought-after humbucker tones, thanks to its Fishman Fluence Modern active pickups. Experience enhanced sustain and playability, by virtue of a Neck-thru design with Ultra Access and a smooth ebony fingerboard. The C-7 SLS Evil Twin's and Hipshot hardtail bridge exhibits spot-on intonation. Complete with attractive black hardware, the C-7 SLS Evil Twin is built to impress.

Rock-solid construction with high-end appointments

When you pick up a C-7 SLS Evil Twin, you'll be amazed by all the details and finishing touches that make this a truly remarkable instrument. What's more, these details aren't just cosmetic. The C-7 SLS Evil Twin features a Neck-thru design with an Ultra-access heel carve, which gives you easy access to those higher, hard-to-reach frets.

Fishman Fluence Modern pickups give you endless tonal options

Thanks to the C-7 SLS Evil Twin's Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, you'll be able to harness the most sought-after humbucker tones. These pickups provide you with your choice of two unique, selectable voices. Revel in the tight bass, crisp highs, and subtle growl supplied by the Fluence's modern active pickup voice. Or if you're feeling a bit gnarly, these pickups' high-output humbucker voice is tailor-made for distortion. Guitarists at Sweetwater are shocked by the range of sounds that can be generated by the C-7 SLS Evil Twin.

Hipshot bridge with string-thru-body design provides amazing stability

If you love the stability and ultra-fast response of a hardtail bridge, then you'll feel right at home with this C-7 SLS Evil Twin. Schecter didn't just grab any old bridge — they gave it a Hipshot hardtail bridge for solid intonation and great sustain. Combined with its string-thru-body design, this setup gives the C-7 SLS Evil Twin truly epic sustain.

Schecter C-7 SLS Evil Twin Features:

  • Comfortably contoured swamp ash body
  • Super-stable maple/walnut/padauk multi-ply neck with carbon fiber reinforcement rods
  • Neck-thru with Ultra Access and smooth ebony fingerboard provides enhanced sustain and playability

Beast of a guitar. Plays and sounds better than I could have dreamed of

I bought the evil twin. I'll start aesthetically. The finish front to back, Jack to headstock is flawless, every fret perfectly even and cut. Set up was perfect out of the box (action, truss rod adjusted, intonated perfectly and the strings at the bridge arched perfectly to match the fret board radius). It is the closest I've seen to custom shop and American made guitars IME with any guitar I have bought or played even up to $2000 price range. That being said I play strictly heavy metalcore, deathcore with a splash of djent (Sanction/Vein/Jesus piece/ knocked loose/only the heavy parts of like moths to a flame sums my style up) and have always been a passive pick up fan (Seymour Duncan JB, black winter, nazgul, lundgren black haven) not a huge fan of any emgs even 24 volt modded. Played an sls with the moderns one night and was stunned. I still love passives but the moderns gave me new respect for what good actives could be capable of in general. A lot of people like the signature moderns but for some reason this set up blow me away. When I first plugged it in and started playing with the first a random preset I tried (was made for a 6 string with SD jazz bridge) it instantly gave me a smile ear to ear to the point it was starting to hurt because it wouldn't go away. I haven't felt this good about a guitar purchase in probably a decade. Have I played better guitars in that time? 100% yes but not for anything close to what I paid for the evil twin. The only negative thing I could say has nothing to do with the guitar itself but the case that schecter recommends (SRG 1C - c shape) so I won't impact my rating of the guitar because that is a separate purchase. The neck does not sit properly and the head stick is tilted up pressing against the top of the case. I was able to fix it thanx to advice from another review I found after I bought it. The foam or material they use for the form fit is malleable and can be shaped how ever you want. It is very hard material and takes A LOT of work shaping it. I also put a tee shirt under the body of the guitar and that helped level it out perfectly after some shaping and sculpting in the neck area.

great value

Solid build, I like the thin neck and fretboard fret wire edges are clean, smooth, not the greatest clean sounding guitar but I didn't buy it for clean tones,
Music background: I can play stairway to heaven in any guitar shop

Great 7 string

This was my first 7 string, and it did not disappoint. This beast is very playable, feels right and sounds even better. Glad I picked this one up!
