IK's acclaimed modeling technologies
When they created the Leslie Collection, IK researched every nook and cranny of the original hardware's design and operation. They used their innovative Dynamic Interaction Modeling technology to analyze and model the behavior of every electronic component in the Leslie's amplifier. Volumetric Response Modeling was used to emulate the cabinets. During this process, IK modeled some parts and captured the actual audio behavior of each model by miking up the cabinets in a high-quality room. They then extracted the essence of the cabinets' original tone. At Sweetwater, we're impressed by the realism and authenticity of IK Multimedia's Leslie Collection.
Plenty of tweakable parameters
The Leslie Collection supplies you with complete control over your sound. It all starts with four virtual microphones. Tailor the position of each mic by rotating it either 90º or 180º then adjusting its distance from your cabinet. You can also adjust the rotation speed of the horn and drum, and set your acceleration/deceleration speed. A mixer view gives you full mix control over your four microphones with individual volume faders and pan controls. Beyond that, you get a fully parametric EQ to shape your final sound.
