Sturdy and well padded - A bit small for some drum sizes

Pros:
1. Very well built and nicely padded case.
2. Quality is great.
3. With 5 dividers you can divide up the space in various ways and could hold pretty much whatever you want, as long as the size of your items aren't to big.

Cons:
1. The largest drum size you can fit (on it's side) is a 12" drum, but that requires a bit of stretch/pull before the bag will zip.
2. You could not fit more than 1 of these sizes unless you were to lay it flat in the case (head down/up) but then you'd only fit 2 to 3 drums and nothing else.
3. No handle, strap, or wheels makes carrying this a bit awkward.

Conclusion:
A good value, if you are prepared to use it within it's size limitations. I use it for 3 etoms (8, 10, and 12") along with stacking 3 ecymbals (leaving the hi-hat clutch on) and then all the cables to my edrums. It can hold a lot of stuff and I'd recommend it. Just don't buy it thinking you can stack 6 drums in here... unless they are all 10" or smaller.

What I was Looking For

Just as advertised. I switch between my acoustic set and my Roland electronic set depending on the size of the venue we are playing. My 48" Armor bag holds all of my acoustic hardware and when I use my Roland, I place this insert in the 48"bag and it holds all of my electronic gear.

Good quality, could use some handles

I finally got tired of hauling my drum kit/gear around in makeshift bags and was worried it would be a matter of time before I damaged a head or pad. I started with the 38' Ahead Armor gear sled which I chose after much consideration of what's on the market. I liked it and its quality a lot for transporting my drum hardware. Then I decided I needed something to protect my drum and cymbal pads. I chose the insert and generally like it. The interior panels can be configured in many ways and the quality build is good. Should last a long time if not overly abused. I know it is sold as an insert. What wasn't clear in the description or other reviews, was how exactly it fit in the gear sled and if there is still room for my hardware as well. turns out there's not really any room left in my 38" sled after the insert is put in. So, I need to invest in another sled if I want to roll it around, or carry it by hand which is a little awkward without handles. Handles would be a nice enhancement and more pictures showing how it fits in a sled. I'm basically happy with the quality, just not thrilled with the useability of the insert on it's own. Maybe I was expecting too much. I might add we meet to practice once a week and gig about once a month to add context.

There's No Handles!

It's my fault. I should have read the reviews more closely. There's no handles or straps on this bag. So carrying it is awkward. Other than that it's great. Soft plush interior and padded and thick dividers. (5 in total) Also it wont fit a PDX-12 or similar sized item. Only a CY-12C or similar sized items.
