Floating hat

So far so good. Its interesting how their is so little offset from where your foot normally is, but that is what one would expect. It will take some time to adjust now that I have that option. Highly recommended!

Works very well!

I have been playing drums and gigging out since the age of 18 and I have never ponied up for an actual drum rug. In the early days it was leftover carpet scraps and then I've used the $20 Wal-Mart rugs for years. I have a smaller car that I haul my drums in and space is at a premium for me. That is the reason that I opted for this rug because of the way that it folds up for transport and fits with the rest of my gear. I am also a fan of Ahead Cases as that is what I use to haul all my drums and hardware around in and even my sticks. So far I have not been disappointed. The rug stays in place nicely and holds all of my setup without any moving around of bass drums spurs or double pedals and even my two-legged hi-hat stand. The only thing I didn't like was the price but I can't say that I am not happy with the product. It's everything that I expected it to be. Hopefully this rug or mat will hold up for many years and I have no reason to believe that it will not. The vertical crease that is seen in the pictures is on the rug and it comes from the way that it folds up for transport. That crease and the other one that spans the length of the rug do not interfere with any of my pedals, even though they all sit right on top of the lengthwise folding deal. Nothing moves and that's really what you want along with the portability. My Velcro stand and pedal markers stick to this rug just fine also. I am very happy with the item so far.

Excellent Drum Rug!

Excellent Drum Rug. I have a six piece Mapex Saturn IV with 5 Falcon Boom Stands/cymbals, high hat, drum throne and was worried the rug may be too small. However, the rug features allow it to be stored in one of my ahead rolling cases, it doubles in half for transport. The entire drum kit fit perfectly on the rug. However, I would say a six piece is the limit.
