20” Ping Ride

I've gone through many ride cymbals throughout time. Finally decided to replace with an old favorite! It's been over 30 years since I had the original Zildjian Ping Ride. Now it's time to really hear the ride when you want it! It's a great cymbal for live and studio work. Thanks again to the Sweetwater team for another seamless transaction!

A Roadwarrior Cymbal!

I'm a drummer and musician, but I also managed several bands in the 70's. Rick Bousait, a drummer I was managing, used this cymbal as a crash/ride. I was blown away! Without micing, I could hear every nuance throughout the auditorium. This cymbal has unsurpassed definition and vibrant crashes that carry. Within 2 weeks, I bought my own. That was in 1973. This cymbal has stood up to fusion, hard rock, and heavy metal. I'm still using this cymbal today in 2020.

Ping Ride Cymbal

Don't get me wrong this does sound good and the bell is very crisp and loud. But when they say that the sustain is medium, yeah right. This thing rings for like 2 minutes off of one hit. It is not crashable at all, but if that is what you're looking for then this is for you.
