Warm Vintage Sustain and Smooth Action

Glide effortlessly from note to note with a set of La Bella Black Nylon Tapewound Bass Strings. These premium tapewound bass strings feature black nylon wrappings over stainless steel windings, providing you with a remarkable balance of smooth action and rich tone. They're an excellent choice for standard electric basses, particularly if you prefer a combination of deep lows and complex overtones, but you'll also find La Bella's Black Nylon Tape strings an excellent fit for your fretless or acoustic bass guitar.

Centuries of expertise in each set of La Bella strings

La Bella strings are the top choice for musicians ranging from world-famous artists such as Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams, and Ron Carter to everyday players like many of us here at Sweetwater. Their heritage reaches back to the Mari family of Salle, Italy, in the seventeenth century, and they became famous throughout Europe, even supplying violin strings to Amati and Stradivari. In the early twentieth century, brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved the string operation to New York, founding the modern La Bella company. Today, La Bella strings are considered among the finest in the world, and we think you'll agree when you hear what they can do for your favorite instrument.

La Bella 750N-CB Black Nylon Tapewound Bass Strings Features:

  • Light-gauge (.043-.135T) strings for standard, fretless, and acoustic 6-string bass guitars
  • Black nylon outer wrappings provide smooth action for gliding between frets
  • Stainless steel windings deliver deep lows, bright high-end harmonics, and extended sustain
  • Standard long scale length measures 38 inches for G, D, A, and C strings from ball-end to silk taper; 36.75 inches for E and B strings

Bright and Round

These strings are really nice, I use them on my Ibanez SR306. It doesn't have the best preamp, with a pretty noisy top end, so I usually just roll off mids and highs all the way for a sound I like. With these I still get plenty of articulation with that setting. They have a really defined attack but also a decent amount of sustain if you push the low end.

my personal favorites!

beware of the ultra low tension. much lower than any other set of strings I ever tried.

also, these are nylon coated. I.e. if you use a passive instrument you are not closing the ground loop by touching the strings anymore. you'll get more noise is you don't play any other trick. if your passive instrument has ground noise issues, well be prepared it will get worse.

that said. I love them. just give it a try if you like low tension strings
