Reviews

Never thought I’d Write a Review for a Pick

But here I am. Over the last 30 years I've favored many different picks, Tortex,Ultex,Gator,Nylons,Jazz, and everything in between, but these Primetones are the only pick I can say I hear a noticeable audible difference. Not only the sound, but the pick feels more connective to the strings. The grip is also very comfortable and accurate. I generally steer clear of gripped picks because with my technique they tend to grab the strings, but not the Primetones. I will say the price is what peaked my morbid curiosity, at over $ a pick I felt like there was no way they could be worth it, but every time I grab another pick I find myself searching around for my Protone. My one and only complaint is they probably couldn't be a worse color.

Definitivamente a melhor palheta. The best one
I tested hundreds of picks, side by side, for hours and hours and this pick was the winner, without a doubt my favorite.
Wow!
I've been playing off and on for 50 years — acoustic and electric. I've generally always used a Fender medium, and I could never hold onto them until they'd warped to my fingers. I wandered into the realm of the Tortex green and they were a bit grippier, but I still wasn't completely happy. Last year I bought a Gibson L-00, and none of the picks I tried really worked. I tried nylon, I retried the Fenders, I tried Tortex, I tried max grips, I tried the translucent Flows. I tried all kinds of doodads to increase grip, but nothing felt good, or did the trick, and worse, nothing sounded good. None of them brought out the tone I knew the guitar should have. Then I tried a Primetone .73. The guitar completely opened up, strumming became magically more nuanced, and picking became much more precise. And the guitar tone just blossomed. Best part is, these picks are GRIPPY. I haven't had a single issue holding on to these picks. They cost somewhat more, but they're worth it in my book, because tone and grip.

The Best Picks Ever
I have hundreds of picks that I've accumulated over the past 35 years. I like experimenting and keep buying and trying different ones. Well, I no longer experiment. These are by far the best picks I've ever used. The ones with extra grip are great for sweaty hands and the tone is excellent. They have a smooth but strong attack when strumming without having that plastic sound. They are a bit more expensive but well-worth the cost. Now I need to figure out what to do with all of my other picks.
my new favorite!
I typically use tortex or ultex picks. Tried these on a whim and glad I did. Cost a bit more but definitely worth it. Good grip and not sure how to explain it but they just feel right when playing. Fwiw, I got the .73 and they seem a bit thicker than a standard .73 but it doesn't bother me in the least. If only it came in better colors, but I take function over cosmetics a year day of the week.
