My favorite picks for Electric!
I have been through quite a few different picks over the years and these 1.14 Ultex sharp is my favorite for electric guitars/lead playing. I play multiple genres in bands, and these are hard enough to solo and chug with but light enough to chords and strum with. I find these easy to hold onto despite my sweaty hands. I used to use gripped picks for that reason, but these have really won me over! My only gripe is that 1 pick only lasts about a 4-hour gig before losing its "sharp". Note that I am heavy handed with my picking, so I wear picks down quickly, but these are not "indestructible" as lightly claimed by the description.

My favorite pick
I love these. Big step up from Tortex.

World's best pick
Got one of these in a heavy dunlop sample pack. Best pick I ever played. Incredibly fast. Bright yet full-bodied tone. Literally the best full-bodied, yet bright without being harsh tone of any pick I've ever played. I was surprised that the sharp tip on these would produce such a full tone, as it was designed for speed. These also wear out incredibly slowly, again I was surprised such a sharp tip would last that long. I'd estimate between 6-10 times as long as a dunlop Tortex shows wear. Despite being a smooth surface and sliding easily across the strings, they are surprisingly easy to maintain grip, no worse then the courser matte tortex picks. Finally I was surprised how good the 1.14 sounded even on acoustic. I liked these so much that I got 6 packs of the .sharp 73, .90, 1.0, to experiment with and found the 1.14 still sounded the best, aside from maximum speed on acoustic. On acoustic the 1.0 sharp was a very close second. I think this material has slightly more give than other picks the same thickness. So if you're used to a 1.0, this Ultex sharp 1.14 would be a perfect match. I liked these so much that I got the 72 pack. At their cost compared to how long they last, these are also very economical.

Best Picks
Ultex is the best material for picks. Unless you want to pay ten times as much, at least. But for the price, nothing beats it. The ultex material has a great toughness to it-- they hold their edge pretty well and give a nice strong attack. I play better when I use ultex picks- tighter rhythm, and the tone is nicer (as far as a pick can affect the tone). The sharps are great for playing with attention to detail. You have absolute control over how much pick to give the strings at all times.
The only real negative I have is that they can be easy to lose, thanks to that beautiful translucent amber color.

best all around I've used yet
I bought these like with most pics I get, for no reason at all. I like to try different pics . It's never ending. These however if you like to play metal, tired of the pic wearing out in two seconds, not staying in you fingers, or the label turning your hand black. Then this is your pic. I can play hard without making sure I can grab for the next pic. And they have just the slightest give to them but not so much you can't tremolo pic like crazy. One of My favorites of all time out of the last 20 years.
