SKB Microphone Case

This case is perfect for my needs. I have several different mic brands and they all fit perfectly in the case. This includes SM58 and 57s, Blue Encores, Sennheiser's, and sEV7s. There is room in the side for in ears, small cables, and other accessories. Works great!

Great Case But…..

Superb mike case and well built. Here are the issues. I primarily use Audix mikes for both vocal, guitar cab miking, and acoustic instrument miking. I also have two large condenser mikes. As long as your dynamic mikes have a round top, they won't slide to the bottom but my Audix i5's don't and will fall to the bottom of the case making it really difficult to get them out. I fixed the issue with water pipe insulation. I cut 7" lengths then cut off 1/2" of the diameter depending on the size of the insulation tube you have and inserted them to the bottom of each mike hole including my round top mikes holes. Now none can dive down into the bottom of the case and are that much more protected. My condenser mikes diameters are too large and will not fit at all. I had hopes that all my mikes would fit in this one case but no. So, this is a great case for dynamic mikes but modify the holes.
