This is a GREAT strap

I've been looking for a strap like this for a while. High quality leather like a Martin strap I still have from the 80s. Yes, this strap is nice and thick (so it won't wear out) and it's a bit stiff at first; but like a great pair of boots it just needs a little time to get broken in. I liked it so much, I bought a second one and am about to get a third. A high quality item like this doesn't come along every day. I bought the first one to go with my Guild hollow-body but I also like it with my Gretsch hollow-body guitars. An added bonus is that they didn't "cheap out" when it came to the length of this strap. It's one of the few that is over 60 inches; I need that to feel comfortable - it's a really nice strap. If you're not looking for something that's "pre-broken-in" then get this one and enjoy it for a long, long time. Thanks for a great product at a fair price point.

Nice branded piece.

I don't know enough to say whether the price is fair or not for the materials(I'd think it's easily justifiable), but I will say I love the strap regardless. Authentic and durable, feels like a high-quality piece. It is stiff to begin and needs to be worked in over time, which I love about it. The thing looks great on my Guild acoustic and the branded Guild logo is a great touch. I plan to have this attached to my guitar for many many years.

I don't understand the negative reviews

This is a heavy-duty strap; thick leather. It can be very tight to get on your strap buttons, but you can just sand it down a bit near the holes or use an awl to widen the holes or a knife to extend the slits. It's a great strap and it takes me back to my 60's & 70's days. It was exactly what I was expecting.

Very sturdy, "forever" kind of strap. Not quite as supple as some other straps, but good looking and heavy duty.
