It's and Ovation!

I have two other 12 string guitars, but I ordered this one due to the unique tones from the composite back. I have a six string Ovation that is my most played. My Sweetwater rep personally took the time to have it set up and then tested it to ensure that it was done the way I like it. I have never had one with such an awesome low action, it was set up perfectly.

Ovation!

I know some people think the Ovations don't sound very good but they have been used by lots of bands including Def Leppard, Heart, Paul McCartney and Wings, REO Speedwagon, and many others. Personally, I like the sound and have received compliments on the tone of my Celebrity Elite Plus when playing live, so when I decided to pull the trigger on a new 12 string, of all the fantastic options available, I chose to try Ovation first.

Listening to the guitar sing on the first strum when I removed it from the box, I knew I made the right choice. What a great sound. Better than any previous 12 string I ever had. It arrived almost perfectly in tune and the onboard tuner made all the small adjustments super simple. I haven't tried it plugged in yet, but I am confident I won't be disappointed.

The only flaws I could find was one super small manufacturing blemish on the back in the cutaway, and one very shallow 1/2 cut in the side on the upper bout that probably happened during the Sweetwater inspection process. Though it looks nice, I do wish this model was available in different finishes. I miss the heyday of Ovation when they had many models and lots of finishes.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and Tyler Moore's assistance was great as always.
