A Silver Jubilee in a Smaller Package

This 20-watt 2525H Studio Jubilee gives you everything you love about Marshall's highly coveted 2-channel, 100-watt head in a smaller, volume-friendly package. The 2525H has all the tone and look of the original with Sweetwater-guitarist-approved features, such as high- and low-output switching for 20- and 5-watt performance. This offers you the sound of a Marshall at full roar, but at studio and club levels. The Marshall 20-watt 2525H Studio Jubilee amplifier head also gives you even lower noise performance and improved reliability over the 1980s original.

Classic lineage, perfect amount of power

The original Marshall Silver Jubilee is one of the most sought-after tube amplifiers in all of rock history. Its aggressive sound was widely used in the '80s and early '90s by hard-rock players of all types. Marshall's reissue started with that iconic design and upgraded the amp's performance. And the 2525H Studio Jubilee takes that one step further by putting all that sound into a more compact box with a usable 20 watts of tube power. The 2525H is the next offering in this proud series of amplifiers.

If you're a gigging guitarist, you know that keeping the stage volume down is an absolute necessity. While older 100-watt amps sound amazing, it is hard to get an optimal tone at reduced levels. The Marshall 2525H solves this problem by putting the Silver Jubilee sound into an amp that only pushes 20 watts of all-tube power. Twenty watts is a great amount of power for headroom and grind on modern stages. And if you need even quieter performance, you can switch the amp to 5-watt mode.

Straightforward design

Marshall amplifiers are historically known for their ease of getting a great tone. Though Marshall has some powerful designs with a lot of tonal options, amp designs like the original Plexi, the JCM 800s, and the Silver Jubilees have straightforward panels that let you turn on, turn up, and play. You still get a great effects loop and the low-power switch, but the panel is easy to navigate, and you'll get your tone dialed in with no problem.

Marshall 2525H Studio Jubilee Features:

  • Full-featured version of Marshall's popular Silver Jubilee amp head in a lighter, smaller package
  • Same tone as the iconic '87 Jubilee at your fingertips
  • Variable wattage selection from 20W to 5W instantly adapts from full-powered performances to quieter studio and practice sessions
  • DI output sends a record-ready signal straight to your mixing console
  • FX loop accepts a wide variety of pedals for further tonal expansion
What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!

The Sound in Your Head

I never owned anything Marshall besides a DSL20H up until now ! Let me just say " I'm happy on so MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS ". This amp cleans up beautifully, has a GREAT edge of breakup , totally nails the 80's hair bands , blues and with an EQ will get BRUTAL ! It's essentially the " SWISS ARMY KNIFE " of guitar amps ! The effects loop is great and the tone is legendary ! If you don't have one yet ,and you're sitting on the fence ; " JUST DO IT ". I highly recommend this wonderful home/gigworthy head to ALL my guitar brethren ! I smile every time I have the blessed opportunity to spend quality time with this fine unit ! Cheers Marshall on another well done !

Great Amp Head
This is an incredible sounding amp. I prefer the 2525H into a 2x12 Cab than the combo much fuller sounding
Absolutely perfect!!!!!!
small but not in tones
just like its big brother, just a tiny bit brighter and less low end.
just use a bit less treb/prec and more bass.

can get noice at times but that happens with tube amps and not so clean power

great for blues to hardrock tones, can be pushed to metal also.

All the Marshall I could want
There's just certain things some amps do well and some amps don't do well. I got this to pair with my mesa mark v35. The silver jubilee 2525h screams! It's full of Marshall tone and super flexible and loud! It does the slash tones convincingly and hits the frusciante tones equally as convincing. It will do it all on its own but you gotta get really loud to get there without a drive pedal of some sort rather it be a clean boost or a drive. Marshall's can get a bit saggy without being pushed and the jubilee is no exception but once you get it ironed out its a blissful sounding unit. With an ocd and a buxom boost pushing the clean channel it still sounds full on Marshall. My only knock on the amp is the shared e.q. between the 2 channels and no light on the footswitch, but it's not hard to get a good sound on both and switch between them. I suggest at the least a clean boost to push the front end. The effects loop is solid delay and reverb come through nice and clear not buried or imposing. I don't use the rhythm clip but it is usable. All in all I am very happy with the 2525h. Build quality is solid sounds good and performs flawless. It's not a modern style channel switcher but if you know that going into it, you won't be upset. I also suggest a vintage 30 speaker set up
Best of the Best
OMG - ok ,so after starting the downsizing 10 yrs ago from 100w tube amps - to 50w 5150's down to the 20w, the EVH LBX-Stealth , is finally my "if I can only have 1 amp on earth - final choice - NOT ANY MORE- this Mini Jubilee is the best Guitar amp I've ever heard - tone controls are super active , and yes it needs the tube screamer , but the sound is absolutely amazing , dirty tone , but at the same time you can hit chords and they are crystal clear , with the legendary Marshall midrange bite - I'm able to get the MEGADETH . Holy wars tone exactly -sell your dsl-20 this is Worth the money - Gregg Block is the Best sales advisor I've had in 15 yrs and tens of thousands in purchases . Spend the money , the mini silver jubilee is the best amp on earth for rock & Metal

There are countless "British"-style guitar amplifiers out there, but take it from the lifelong guitarists and tone connoisseurs at Sweetwater, when it comes to Marshall tone, there's nothing like the real thing. We've played them all, from vintage JTM45s and the ultra-cool Plexi reissue to modern handmade masterpieces such as the JVM410. There isn't a model among them we can't recommend with total confidence, and that includes their more affordable models too, like MG, DSL, and Code series amps. Thanks to our tight relationship with Marshall, Sweetwater's always on the cutting edge of their latest designs, custom models, and limited-edition gems. If you want iconic tone from across the pond, you want Marshall, and your Sweetwater Sales Engineer will help you find the perfect one.
