A Handy 1 SPOT Accessory

The MC2 is a 24" dual daisy-chain cable for your Truetone 1 SPOT power adapter.

Power your pedalboard with a single plug!

The Truetone 1 SPOT powers your entire pedalboard without using up tons of outlets or sapping your budget. A 1 SPOT is the original 9V DC adapter that only takes up 1 SPOT on an outlet strip or wall outlet. It solves an annoying problem that guitarists and bassists here at Sweetwater have complained about for years! The 1 SPOT can be paired with optional multi-plug cable(s) for powering more than one pedal — power up to twenty pedals (1700mA max) with the 1 SPOT!

Truetone MC2 Features:

  • 24" multi-purpose 2-plug cable for your Truetone 1 SPOT (sold separately)
  • Straight female to dual right-angle male
  • Also works with most other brands

Great adapters

I run a CS12 with 16 pedals on my studio board! Thing is with any power supply, usually the mA is 100-500 on many per slot. Most analog pedals require 10 mA-40 mA. Digital goes higher to 200mA or so per pedal.

So even if you have 5,7 or 12 slots on your power supply… you can measure these out by using these adapters on say a 100mA, and put 2-3 low rated analog pedals, or use the 400-500mA and do a good many. It's never good I find to daisy chain more than 2-3 off the same slot. So it's usually best to reserve the high mA for pedals that need it, and use this product on the 100mA inputs for 2 pedals.

But these come in handy for me with analog pedals. My digital I set and leave, and maybe split 2 if enough. With these you can easily add 2 analog pedals to each slot going double what you have…no issues! 7x2 or 12x2!

So far I've bought 2 of these, and ordering another plus a backup now. They have worked great with my CS12, and no micophonics or issues. Sometimes in my playing space, I have to use a decent surge protector before my CS12, with grounding indicator to make sure my power supply is getting what it needs. Otherwise direct into "some" walls I've had microphonics in the chain. But that varies per venue and spot. Nothing to do with adapters or power supply.

If you do experience any issues, it is most likely the power source from the wall I've found. The cables themselves however are rock solid and worth it. I do the official ones, as to not have any weird issues. I have tried others and it's hit or miss.

But 5 stars on these! Can't get enough for my studio board, and every growing pedal habit lol.

Nice and Snug fit, works as intended.

The barrel for the power in is nice and tight for a good connection. I plan on ordering more of these in the future. I'm currently using the two that I purchased with the "Dunlop ECB-003 9-Volt AC Adapter" Sold here at Sweetwater. Seems to be a must-have item and well worth the reasonable price!

Just what the doctor ordered!

My pedalboard is pretty packed and my power supply was maxed with one plug per pedal. A couple of these babies were exactly what I needed and they work perfectly! No added buzz or issues with any of my pedals when daisy chained with these. Worth every penny!

Works like a charm!

I have been a big fan of Truetone products since building boards. Recently I put together two compact boards which only require 9v DC adapters. This simple daisy chain was perfect for each configuration, see below. I highly recommend testing the pedal(s) power needs before committing to a power source as sometimes an adapter is all that is required.

1st board -> Boss MS-3 and Elektron Analog drive
2nd board -> Digitech Sdrum and JamMan Solo XT
Music background: Professional/Experienced
