Not sure I would switch to these exclusively on all guitars because usually I complain about not having enough high end, BUT I find Fishman Fluence Moderns to be overly bright and harsh. These tamed that harshness while still sounding nice and crisp. High end is still there it just isn't as over the top. They also feel a little more stiff than regular strings that are the same gauge, which is also a plus for me because I dig in hard when I pick. Excellent for down tuning. Last but not least they have a great feel. They feel slightly more slick than uncoated strings but not like the Nanowebs which I found to be too slippery. I normally do not like coated strings in general but Elixir absolutely hit it out of the park with these. These are my weapon of choice for any guitar with Fishmans from now on.

My impressions about this string set:

First: Elixir Optiweb is a really nice string. I can't say you will notice a brighter tone if compared with Nanoweb series. Sometimes I think I hear it, sometimes I think it's something psychological. But it feels slightly different on hand -- doesn't feel like a coated string at all. Even my guitar tech became surprised.

Secondly: these strings are really long lasting. It not as bright as a D'Addario XL (just using a benchmark) however, if you played those D'Addarios you know that tone goes away in 1 or 2 days. Elixir isn't as bright as the XL, but it will sound almost the same for a month.

Elixir feels noticeably harder than most standard strings (like D'Addario XL or Ernie Ball Slinky). However, if you compare with some harder models (like NYXL and Paradigm), the string resistance feels similar to those models, maybe a tiny bit smoother than the NYXL.

Never had tuning issues (because of this string), Elixir intonates quite fast. The reason why I prefer this set (10-52) is because I pick hard and the thicker strings on the bottom help me having less buzz issues.

Finally: I'm not endorsed by Elixir. I see myself as a serious hobbyist that loves guitar, had a bunch of instruments and, after trying some different strings, felt comfortable with Elixir. Maybe you prefer a different brand/model for a handful of reasons -- however, if you want to try this Elixir, you'll get a high-end string. No question about it.

To me, they sound very similar to the nano web. They just feel closer to a traditional string. Thinner coating I guess. Point is, if you love your nano web elixir strings you may want to stick with those. If you want a coated string that feels very close to a non coated string then give these a go.
