Electrify Your Acoustic Performance

The Martin Gold Plus VTII acoustic guitar pickup system ensures your instrument sounds as detailed, warm, and clear to your audience as it does when it's just you and your guitar. And if you're a fan of Fishman's original flagship Matrix system you'll love the shared design elements that blend the know how of acoustic giants Martin & Co. and Fishman. When it's time to take your music to the people, make sure you gift them the best guitar sound you can, with the Martin Gold Plus VTII.

Martin Thinline Gold Plus VTI Acoustic Guitar Pickup System at a Glance:
  • For those who loved the original Fishman Matrix
  • Low profile design keeps the look of your instrument
  • Discreet tonal control
For those who loved the original Fishman Matrix

When you mix two of the strongest names in the acoustic guitar industry, you're bound to come up with a highly-desirable product. That's exactly the case with the Martin Gold Plus VTII acoustic guitar pickup system. Martin has a long history of delivering amazing sounding pickups to accentuate the quality of their instruments. The VTII continues the tradition by offering you a pickup system aimed at the classic sound of Fishman's original flagship Matrix Natural preamp.

Low profile design keeps the look of your instrument

With today's technology, the days of cutting a large hole into the side of your prized acoustic guitar to install a preamp are a thing of the past. There are a lot of great options out there, but the Martin Gold Plus VTII acoustic guitar pickup system lets you get all the great tone Martin's known for, as well as tone and volume controls with a simple widening of your endpin hole (always consult a luthier). The structure of your prized acoustic guitar will remain unchanged, and you'll have great live acoustic tone.

Discreet tonal control

If there is a drawback to not having a large preamp installed in the side of your acoustic, it's that you generally won't have quick access to tone and volume control. And trust us, as guitarists ourselves, many of us at Sweetwater know how important that control can be in the heat of a gig. The Martin Gold Plus VTII solves this problem by offering you ultra-discreet volume and tone wheels to install on the inside of your soundhole. Virtually undetectable, only you'll know it's there.

Martin Thinline Gold Plus VTII Acoustic-electric Guitar Pickup System Features:
  • High-quality, Under-saddle Acoustic Pickup System from Martin
  • Designed for Drednaught size acoustic guitars
  • Soundhole mounted volume and tone controls
  • Low profile design keeps the integrity of your instrument
  • From the people who brought you the Fishman Matrix
From a company that knows acoustic guitars comes the Gold Plus VTII.

Martin Pick Up

This was my first attempt at retrofitting a guitar with an electronic pick up under the bridge. The instructions were well written and the only challenge is soldering the connection. Practice before you try it on the unit. Sound was perfect on the first attempt. This has given new life to my 1978 Takamine. Great kit and a great sound. Looking forward to the next project.

Awesome acoustic pickup!!

I used to use LR Baggs Anthem, which sounded amazing too, but this pickup has clarity, balanced eq throughout, and natural enough through PA system. I doubt it will sound natural when you record plugged in, but in live situations, I strongly suggest buying this pickup. It’s just an amazing system.

Martin gold plus acoustic pickup

The sound of this pickup is all and more than I expected. It has a rich and balanced tone that"s not too bassy not harsh when plugged into a PA. It doesn"t have a feed back problem either which you don"t need when doing live performances. I give the sound quality 5 stars.
When installing this pickup, the instructions on the wiring could be a little better detailed and the battery and pots could have a better mounting.
Only a qualified tectnician should install this pickup system. Otherwise I"m really happy with this system
Music background: Local clubs, fairs and festivals.
