Reviews

Dead Quiet!
I grabbed three (3) for a ROLA Bass 200HW that replaced some of the hi-end Sovteks that were very gainy and noise prone.

The set of Psvane 12AX7 tubes went in...no noise, late break-up and tight. I had understood that Shugaung engineers left to presue the quietist tubes and hi-fi audio. I think they did a good job.

PSVane ECC83 tubes
These PSVane Tubes our killer ECC83 our in my
PRS MT-15 Mark Tremonti amp there is 6 total
They our absolutely killer artilic, great treble bottom end is abundant no problems here your tone don't just come from the tubes many things in factor ( pickups ) no pedals needed with the 70's 80's Rick I'm playing buy them you won't be disappointed rock on
Surprising Reviews Great Tubes so far
I don't know why the reviews are all over the place. QC Issues, too much time on the water? Not sure My experience has been positive. I didn't know they were Chinese when I ordered them. They were suggested and had great reviews for stereo equipment.
So far they are dead quiet. The only noise at all is 60 cycle hum when I'm using single coils.
The bass response is tight but not thick. They seem richer, harmonically complex, nothing harsh. I'm only a week in and my opinion may change but so far a great tube for dirt cheap.
YMMV.
Works fine as a general replacement.
As an amp tech, I've used these as replacements, as they are one of two generally affordable 12Ax7 types I can get easily. Psvane is focused on hi-fi audio, and this tube reflects that. It's intended as a "reproducer" rather than part of the instrument. These favor clean amps, as they have a modest gain. The "other" china tubes that came stock in many amps were all about MAX GAIN... rather than happy and clean. Just keep that in mind.

I find that these tubes perform fine as general replacements.....mostly to individuals seeking a clean tone.

Better than I first thought
Maybe 4 1/2 stars. I bought these to replace a pair of Rubys in a dreary-sounding Vox AV30 I had bought used, which I had purchased mainly on the strength of the Anderton's review. There have not been a lot of tubes out there, and at the time these weren't the best tubes I could get, they were the only tubes I could get. Thank you very much, Sweetwater!
I was disappointed when I first installed them- the no-load hum had increased, the brightness and definition had increased, but still no sign of the Vox tones I was after. I was thinking 2 1/2 or three stars, max. But I kept playing on and off, and with maybe 6 or 8 hours on the tubes there were the tones I'd been hoping for, the ones I'd heard in the Anderton's review. I believe that back in the day, the day when everything had tubes in, a day I vaguely remember, it would have been common knowledge that tubes need a burn-in period. I think it's to get the gunk from manufacturing vaporized from the plates and condensed out on the glass envelope, and if the tubes aren't run hot that can take a while.
Anyway, after some lows I'm pretty darn happy now.
