Absolutely love it! Bring the ocean and the peace of the ocean to you! I don't have the drum on me while making this review as it is at home but it's perfect!

Music background: Percussion from 4th grade till 12th

Great Sound

I'm currently using this an opening sound effect for a Hawai'ian hula I'm writing an arrangement for. It fits the music so much better than a generic ocean sound effect or loop. I have other music that this will be good for, and I'm planning to save some samples to put into my SPD SX Pro. With a light touch, this can also double as a frame drum (probably not for performing, but it can add some texture to a recording). This works really well for what I need, and I may get some of the other sizes that Remo makes in the future.

Love It

This is my first ocean drum and I love it. The size and volume of sound are perfect for my use with clients one on one as well as for personal use. I am so glad I got this larger drum rather than smaller ones from other companies and the shipping was super fast too!

maybe a bit too muted for my needs

Despite the very good quality construction, this nightwaves ocean drum's sound dampening feature detracts too much from the signature sound quality of a regular ocean drum. The power is lost. It is challenging to produce effective ocean wave sounds. At least for what I intended to use it for. However, if a muted murmur, and quiet sound is what you are looking for this may be ideal.
