Reviews

Great!
My 2nd review cause wanted test these out a little bit longer. Wow no breakage. And it's been at least two months. I played other reputable string company's .008-.038 strings and broke the E string in a matter of about 15 minutes of playtime. What's that all about? The Orbiters still sound great! Finally found strings that fit my needs—don't break, great tone, decent price.
Music background: Lead guitar in 3 bands: Oldies band (DooWop, 60’s); Classic Rock band (Petty, DooBee’s, Cheap Tric, LIT, Eagles, Skynard); and Rockin Horn Dance band ( Chicago, Setzer, Ides of Mar, JB, EWF)
A reason for using 8s
I have been playing guitar since I was 5. Come from a musical family of mostly Country Music, Gospel and Bluegrass. Its not just a hobby its my peace in life. After a fall and tearing my bracial Plexus thought my guitar playing days were over had a hard time fretting the string tensions were to hard. After months of rehab a Dr said he had neuropathy in his hands. He suggested I use a lighter string gage to help with playing. I tired 2 other 8-40 string company's didn't like what I heard or felt. Then called StringJoy company's, told them this very story. They sent me a set of these string and I was floored!!!
I've been very impressed with String Joy and these are my go to from now on.
