Take music creation into your own hands with Tales, an open-tuned guitar layered with acoustic and synthesized textures. Pure and intimate, Tales was captured with articulations of open strings, harmonics, and muted notes. From ballads to contemporary colors and acoustic pop, Tales will oblige with gorgeous sound creation. Plus, when it comes to samples, you can now split them into tonal and noise components in HALion 7, yielding incredible possibilities for unique sound design.

Masters of modulation

HALion 7 proffers a unique concept of modulation. Users can now tweak, shape, and animate their sounds easier than ever. Modulation rows let users click on parameters and instantly assign new modulations. One click also gets you directly to your modulation destination, setting you up for further editing. A drag-and-drop feature lets you assign modulation features in the blink of an eye, and a new visualization feature makes everything you do clear as day.

Envelopes and IRs

Check out the brush, pen, and eraser tools in HALion 7. Thanks to the User Envelope features, you’re set up for intuitive drawing and customization of envelopes. Choose pre-designed shapes or create and save custom ones. The Shaper mode for envelopes also offers you the capability to cycle through shapes in time with your host DAW’s tempo. 1,024: that’s the number of individual waves contained within the advanced wavetable synthesis engine in HALion 7. If that doesn’t meet your wavetable desires, you can also load multichannel files of up to 5.1 surround. That way, you can work on the sum or individual channels to achieve all the details you want. Also, through the Spectral Filter, you can customize each wave to your heart’s content while the automatic interpolation looks out for fades between waves.
