Ted Hunter
Ted Hunter
Greetings. My name is Ted Hunter and I started at Sweetwater back in July 1998. I've been a musician almost as far back as I can remember...I started playing the guitar and piano back in elementary school and picked up the drums (which quickly became my primary instrument) in junior high school. I played in many ensembles as well as several rock bands throughout high school and college (and beyond.) I started off in college as a percussion performance major, but I'd always been interested (and involved, when possible) in the recording process. So I switched my focus to that after my freshman year.
I became a Sweetwater customer as soon as I became aware of them and came to work here right out of college. I've learned so much more since then and continue to to this day...it really is an ongoing education as things change so quickly. I have the privilege of working with some amazing customers with a phenomenal support team behind me. I've enjoyed the years I've been here thus far and look forward to serving my customers every day, and putting my experience and knowledge to work for them.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Guilty pleasure of choice:
Some of the music and movies I enjoy would fall into this category. I am probably better off not naming them!
-
How would your best friend describe you?
As a good husband and father.
-
What did you dream about doing for a living when you were growing up?
At various points in life I wanted to be a surgeon, an architect, and yes, a rock star.
-
What in your background prepared you most to help your customers with their audio needs?
Working in recording studios and teaching recording labs in college best helped me prepare, and our ongoing training and using the equipment we sell in my own studio has helped me keep on top of things.
Interview with Ted...
-
Ted Hunter has been a pleasure to work with in many, many ways: he came through in the clutch when we needed to make an important purchase (for us) and his advice and ability to move the process along quickly allowed us to NOT screw up our budget on our end. That was a big deal for us. Subsequently he as has always been very professional, knowledgeable, cordial and easy to work with as other important pieces of our computer lab / recording studio needed to be upgraded. Ted has won Sweetwater our business and my loyalty. I look forward to having Ted and Sweetwater as a part of our educational "team" going
