Ted Hunter
Ted Hunter
Greetings. My name is Ted Hunter and I started at Sweetwater back in July 1998. I've been a musician almost as far back as I can remember...I started playing the guitar and piano back in elementary school and picked up the drums (which quickly became my primary instrument) in junior high school. I played in many ensembles as well as several rock bands throughout high school and college (and beyond.) I started off in college as a percussion performance major, but I'd always been interested (and involved, when possible) in the recording process. So I switched my focus to that after my freshman year.
I became a Sweetwater customer as soon as I became aware of them and came to work here right out of college. I've learned so much more since then and continue to to this day...it really is an ongoing education as things change so quickly. I have the privilege of working with some amazing customers with a phenomenal support team behind me. I've enjoyed the years I've been here thus far and look forward to serving my customers every day, and putting my experience and knowledge to work for them.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Guilty pleasure of choice:
Some of the music and movies I enjoy would fall into this category. I am probably better off not naming them!

How would your best friend describe you?
As a good husband and father.
-
What did you dream about doing for a living when you were growing up?
At various points in life I wanted to be a surgeon, an architect, and yes, a rock star.
-
What in your background prepared you most to help your customers with their audio needs?
Working in recording studios and teaching recording labs in college best helped me prepare, and our ongoing training and using the equipment we sell in my own studio has helped me keep on top of things.

Once again Sweetwater & Ted Hunter come through. I ask about products I'm shopping for, Ted walks me thought it, I read more & then come back, order ready! I know he & all of you are watching out for me & my order. It makes me crazy I live in NY City & can't get this service & stock you provide. It's almost 20 years going back to my days working with Paul Simon and talking with Nika about ProTools in mid 90s. Another important thing to mention is that Ted & even Nika years ago, would be busy on occasion, their assistants have also come through. That was & is really important to me to know I've been heard & I'll get called back in a timely fashion. Bravo!

Ted Hunter! What a great go-to guy for taking care of a customer. I received my pick-up sooner than expected! The best service ever. You should be the benchmark for all online merchandise sources.

Ted Hunter is a great sales guy. Not pushy, doesn't try to sell me surplus garbage I don't need, and doesn't annoy me with the deal-breaking up-sell pitch. Plus, he gives me candy. Who doesn't love candy!? Srsly! Give him a pat on the back and a hearty 'hello' from me. While you're at it, promote him and have him train the other sales staff to be just like him (just keep him on my account plz).

Not only does Ted Hunter recommend no more, no less, than just the perfect thing I need for the job, it ALWAYS arrives sooner than expected! Ted Hunter is great and truly awesome.
