This approach gives you a wide range of ambience options to create your signature sound. Like other VSL collections, the Synchron Strings Bundle comes in both Standard and Full Library versions. Although the Standard Library and Full Library both include the same articulations, the difference lies in the number of available microphone positions. The Full Library offers the full microphone array for increased sonic versatility and ease of mixing in 5.1 surround and immersive formats like Auro 3D 9.1. But even if you’re only working in stereo, the Full Library’s room and surround mic signals enhance your mix with additional ambience variations and spatial depth.

Synchron Elite Strings

Vienna Symphonic Library’s Synchron Elite Strings offers the same impeccable quality as the manufacturer’s other plug-ins, with a specific focus on smaller ensemble playing. A total of 22 instruments — comprising six first violins, five second violins, four violas, four cellos, and three basses — are at your disposal, recorded by Vienna Symphonic Library’s in-house ensemble and mixed to perfection before it even hits your DAW. Seemingly endless options for articulations are guaranteed to give your pieces the gravitas and exact textures needed, with up to nine different microphone positions (all accessible in the Full Library) for finding that perfect room sound.

Synchron Strings Pro

Vienna Symphonic Library’s Synchron Strings Pro brings together unbridled artistic expression, stunningly detailed articulations, authentic note transitions, and unrivaled sonic quality in an easy-to-use, CPU-friendly virtual instrument collection like no other. The telltale realism of string sampling is in capturing the essence of how the players begin and end their notes — and you can hear what a masterful job VSL has done in Synchron Strings Pro’s long notes, legatos, and portamentos. You get all the attack and release variants originally performed, and they are easy to deploy thanks to the consistency of the user interface throughout the library. Whether you select a marcato or a soft attack, or an even gentler crescendo, you’ll get exactly what the musicians performed, without having to shape it with MIDI controllers. The same is true for espressivo notes in which the original phrasings have a natural quality that is distinctly different from anything you can manufacture through MIDI manipulation.

Synchron Strings I

The string section is the heart of the orchestra, more often than not charged with deployment of the sweeping themes and haunting melodies we remember long after seeing a blockbuster film. Recorded in the impeccable acoustics of VSL’s Synchron Stage Vienna with Vienna’s finest musicians, Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Strings I raises the bar for contemporary cinematic scoring with its with playability, expressiveness, and stunning sonic realism. The sections — 14 first violins, 10 second violins, eight violas, eight cellos, and six basses — were recorded separately in situ using an extensive multi-mic setup (all of which is available in the Full Library) that gives you a comprehensive selection of discrete audio channels for mixing in today’s immersive audio formats.

Synchron FX Strings I

Recorded with a 50-piece string orchestra in the flawless acoustics of the world-class Synchron Stage Vienna, Synchron FX Strings I is Vienna Symphonic Library’s most audacious string library yet. For the first time in the company’s history of sample library development, Synchron FX Strings I includes production-ready musical textures and loops that are perfect for scoring everything from ethereal soundscapes to melodic ornaments, suspense clusters, aggressive hits, and pulsing rhythms. As always, the sections were recorded using VSL’s proprietary multi-mic techniques, giving you great sonic flexibility when mixing in the cutting-edge Synchron Player.
