The wah pedal is a pedalboard staple, and the Vox V845 puts this classic effect under your feet at a price that’s sure to put a smile on your face. Spec’d to emulate Vox’s ’60s-era original, the V845 ups the ante with a 9-volt power supply input, eliminating the need for a battery. You also get a durable all-black coated finish that’s built to withstand a lifetime of stomping and rocking. If you want to duplicate classic Cream- and Hendrix-esque wah-wah effects, the Vox V845 is the right tool for the job.

Jimi Hendrix
Love this pedal. It has a nice warm sound, perfect for playing clapton and hendrix. Great deal on it and the construction is well built. Definitely a must have for any classic rock pedal board.
V845 Classic Wah
Great classic 1960s psychedelic rock (Clapton, Hendrix) and 1970s funk sound. Metal box built like a tank, easy to use, lots of fun. The pedal sweep is short but that make it easy to quickly work the pedal back and forth. The on/off button is stiff but this helps prevent it accidentally being turned off when using it, I guess. For under a $ it's a lot of fun and a great addition to any setup.
As usual, exactly what I expected
Ordered this vox wah pedal and as usual it got here fast, in perfect condition and sounds as great as my original 60's wah by vox. I buy all my gear from Sweetwater now because of the great selection and prompt service. They always check on how I like my purchase too.
Vox wha petal
If you like music from the 60s ad 70s this is the petal you need Well built Nice price Classic wha sound
Great purchase!
This is my first wah pedal. From the moment I heard about it I knew I needed it so I went looking around local music stores with no luck. I ended up at sweetwater and found this amazing deal. I honestly expected it to arrive a week after I bought it but that was crazy. It showed up 3 days after. This is my second purchase from sweetwater and I'm extremely impressed. Again. This pedal is easy to use, easy to customize your own sound, easy to hook up to your amp, and just a fun piece of equipment to have.I definitely recommend if your new to this kind of stuff and just want a really cool and good quality piece of equipment.
My first wah
I'm loving the 845 so far. It's my first wah so I'm still getting the hang of it, but I love the sound, it's not too harsh. The button was hard to click at first, really had to bear down on it, but as it has broken in it's gotten MUCH easier to press fully to turn the effect off and on.
It's a great option
They say it emulates classic 60s wah tones heard by the likes of hendrix and such. But I'm here to tell you that it does much more than that! I run it before a boss metal core on my board and man does it sound sick for high flying thrash tones! I can only compare it to a classic crybaby, but I much prefer the vox. The build quality, price point and sound all get two thumbs up from me, rock on.
VOX Wah Pedal
It's a Vox pedal …. Great quality….sounds beautiful and it's affordable!
back in the day
Back in the day when I started getting better at playing(early 60's) I bought a Vox Wah Wah pedal. Really liked it
and held up for quite a while. It was time to invest in a new one after 40 plus years.
No frills wah wah pedal
Good value from the old reliable Vox
VOX V845
Pedal is made with quality in mind.
pros; The wah produces a controlled sweep of frequencies from high to low.
cons; The wah sweep is to fast for my liking.
The Basic Model In A Wah Pedal
I have several wah pedals, with most needs well covered, regarding the wah wah side of things. I just wanted to have the sound of an old VOX, like the one I had many years ago. This is definitely that "sound". The pedal motion is the smallest I can recall, a short to-and-fro, but the difference between high and lows are HUGE. Takes awhile to get used to. Nothing like a basic stock Dunlop wah, a totally different voicing than that. Pedal is very well made, a quality unit for sure.
845 Vox Wah Review
Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock relying on the Vox V847 wah,Clyde McCoy signature model at Woodstock. The V845 will get you the wah sound, but if you want the HENDRIX version the V847 w chrome edge,( Woodstock version )its the most sought after HENDRIX MODEL wahs available. Unless you can find an original later '60s Vox 847 signature Clyde McCoy (photoed).
Horrible design and build
The on/off switch takes the weight of an elephant to activate, and when on the pedal barely affects the sound. I should have immediately returned it, a complete waste of money and so much frustration trying to make it work. From my exposure to the Vox brand, I would never buy another product from them unseen.
