Premier Hardware Synth Collection from UVI
A plug-in with one impeccable hardware synth emulation is awesome. But how about a plug-in with 200 of them? Yes, you read that correctly: UVI’s Synth Anthology 4 delivers 200 hardware synth emulations. From this mighty fleet, you’ll load one of more than 4,000 layers into Synth Anthology 4’s dual-layer oscillator system for a simultaneous 2-timbre sound. Each oscillator has its own editing tab with basic ADSR, Filter ADSR (plus multiple filters with different modes), Pitch and Voicing controls, and various modulators with flexible routing options. There’s also an FX tab for each oscillator complete with Waveshaper, Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, EQ, and more. Other features include a dual-layer sequencer and arpeggiator, a Global FX tab with Send FX and Bus FX, and MPE support.

Dual-layer engine blends famous synths together
At the heart of Synth Anthology 4 is a dual-layer oscillator engine from which you can mix any two sounds from many of history’s most famous synths together, complete with a Crossfade (blend) control and an LFO for adding motion. Onboard synths include some of the most famous monophonic and polyphonic synths ever created. Synth Anthology 4’s main panel also includes five macro knobs that provide tweaking of Tone, Phase, Bitcrush, Cloud (which is a kind of shimmering reverb effect), and Feedback. Both oscillators’ editing tabs are incredibly robust, with deep routing options, filters, ADSR, plus Pitch and Voicing controls, as well as a comprehensive oscillator FX tab.
Highly customizable modulation system
Synth gurus will find a lot to love about Synth Anthology 4’s modulation system. Many parameters are controllable. In fact, you can modulate most of the core settings and FX settings of every patch in Synth Anthology 4. Modulators include LFO A, LFO B, Step 1, and Step 2, with effects such as Shape, Frequency, Phase, Delay, Rise, and Depth. Selecting modulation sources and destinations is as easy as clicking a button.
Get just the right effect
In addition to the FX tab found on both oscillators, Synth Anthology 4 includes a Global FX tab, complete with both Send and Bus effects. Send effects include Sparkverb, Convolver, Dual Delay, and Feedback. Bus effects for impacting your entire signal include Drive, a 3-band Equalizer, and Maximizer. Between the Global FX tab and the oscillators’ individual patch FX tabs, Synth Anthology 4 lets you shape your sounds to absolute perfection.
Find similar sounds quickly with Proximity Explorer
One of Sweetwater music producers’ favorite things about Synth Anthology 4 is its Proximity Explorer. On the main panel, there are eight circular buttons directly underneath both synths’ images. By clicking these, Synth Anthology 4 will automatically load sounds that complement the patch that you have currently loaded. This allows you to audition similar sounds and generate exciting new variations in the blink of an eye.
