Potent sound building through familiar controls
The HX-20's sound-building panel is a familiar sight among Sweetwater's synthesis gurus. It all starts with dual hardware-based oscillators and an additional sample-based oscillator. Once you've ironed out the foundation of your tone, a set of analog-modeled filters, ADSR envelopes, and simple modulation points give you more than enough versatility to scope a suitable sound. Plus, HX-20's multi-layer architecture opens the doors for several more stacking and modulation possibilities, in addition to entirely new sounds created from the software synth's 13,000 hardware samples and 182 sound layers.
