This unit makes my mixes come alive - seriously, you can feel the drums "breathe" (without any obnoxious compressor pumping). But if you want pumping, you can do that too, of course. I have even put this thing on the master bus...running EVERYTHING through it...and it sounds great. I've been recording / mixing for a long time, and I am amazed at the nuance, clarity, and coherence of the API 2500. Best on a drum bus or perhaps drums+bass, but I'm still playing around with it. Thanks as always to Matt Subers for his guidance, such a pro.
Great sounding Plug-in
I really love what this Plug-in does for my mix. I have yet to experience the Hardware version of this Plug-in so I can't compare but I am impressed with smooth touch it adds.
