The Key to a Triggered-like Snare Attack

If you're either a heavy hitter or a lover of dry, full snare tone, the Aquarian Triple Threat snare head is sure to please. The Triple Threat molds together three plies of Aquarian Nu-Brite film for a multi-ply head that responds more like a single. The added weight keeps backbeats juicy and full as you crank up the tuning. It's plenty durable for heavy hitters, too. And the way this head neutralizes overring is perfect for rock and metal players who want a triggered-like tone out of their drum.

Great for close mics

Under the scrutiny of a close microphone is where Sweetwater feels the Aquarian Triple Threat really shines. It dampens the overtones that can lead to that "St. Anger" sort of snare tone, and delivers a satisfying pop to the console or front of house.

Controlled and dynamic

To say the Triple Threat is controlled is not to say it's not dynamic. In fact, it has a dynamic range comparable to your favorite single-ply head. But for modern players who want the attack of the drum with little else to EQ out, the Aquarian Triple Threat can really save time at the soundboard.

Aquarian Triple Threat 14" Snare Drum Head Features:

  • Molded from three plies of 7-mil Nu-Brite film (21 mil total thickness)
  • Controls overtones for a direct, dry attack
  • Leaves less work at the soundboard
  • Great for close-miking
  • Durable enough for heavy hitters
  • Dynamic and responsive

Best Snare Head Ever
Sounds so good no matter the genre I'm playing. Also great on any snare. I use it on my brass snare and my purpleheart snare. Also, it can take a beating!
Aquarian Triple Threat
Best Snare Head Ever
Fantastic!
No other drumhead on the market sounds like this, i can't explain it and I've tried most of them. It's so full and articulate and very durable.
Best snare drum head out there!
I've tried about every brand and head available on the market over the years and have always liked the heavier 2-ply snare heads. This head is by far above and beyond any snare head I've used! It can be tuned high or low and it sounds great....I've tried it on both wood and metals snares and I can't find another head that comes close to it in tuning range and pop. Plus, it can take a beating and last forever!
Great sound, very durable
I've used just about every brand that makes a snare batter head. I am a very hard hitting drummer, and I tend to go through snare heads rather quickly. I figured I would try out Aquarian heads, and I'm glad I did. I have played on one of these triple threat heads for about three months and have yet to crack or bust through it. That's impressive for how hard I tend to hit my snare. And what's more, these heads sound great and can tune up quite high the way I like my snare to sound.
