A Modern Take on a Classic Design

The Godin Stadium HT provides plenty of tonal versatility in a vintage-style package. It all begins with a body made from Canadian basswood. It's given comfortable contours and mated with a 22-fret maple neck. The neck is carved into a comfortable D-shaped profile that feels comfortable for players of all kinds. Once the body is assembled, a pair of Godin single-coil pickups are installed — GS-3 in the neck and Custom Cajun in the bridge. The neck pickup delivers warm, rounded tones while the bridge produces a bright and spanky character. Together with the 3-way switch, these pickups can produce tones that cover all genres. If you're looking for a guitar that's built to perform, make sure to give the Godin Stadium HT a try.

Impressive tone

The voice of the Godin Stadium HT is created by a pair of Godin-designed single-coil pickups. In the neck position, a GS-3 pickup delivers a rich, textured tone that's ideal for rhythm playing. When you switch to the bridge position, the Custom Cajun bridge pickup pumps out a bright and lively tone that's ideal for twangy solos and snappy lead lines. When you run both pickups together, they create a beefy tone that you just can't get enough of. Both pickups carry large diameter pole pieces to give you plenty of punch. You'll find that these pickups are great for all genres and styles.

Excellent playability

Aside from its impressive tone, the Stadium HT's calling card is its playability. It's outfitted with a Canadian maple neck that's carved into a D-shaped profile. When you take it out of the box and prepare to play your first chords, you'll fall in love with the neck. Whether you're a thumb-over or thumb-behind player, your hand will instantly feel at home. The 12" fingerboard radius gives you plenty of room for soloing without impacting your ability to play complex chords. With playability this good, the Godin Stadium HT is sure to become one of your favorite axes in no time at all.

A new breed of single-cut guitar

Quality and ingenuity are two of the most important principles that Godin adheres to when designing and building their world-renowned instruments. As such, each new Godin design continues to push the envelope of what is possible in guitar design. The Stadium HT is Godin's take on the classic solidbody electric guitar. The classic shape has a deep cutaway and comfortable body contours on the back. The Stadium HT features a unique complement of pickups that set its tone apart from any other single-cut guitar out there. Put it all together, and the result is a classic-looking solidbody with a tone that refuses to remain tethered to the past.

Godin Stadium HT Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Easy playability and unique tone make this axe a must-have
  • Lightweight basswood body delivers well-balanced tonal profile
  • Custom Cajun bridge pickup produces a bright tone with plenty of twang
  • GS-3 neck pickup creates a warm, rounded tone
  • D-shaped maple neck plays well and feels comfortable in your hand

Excellent Guitar!

bought the White HT Demo Model and I am very happy with it, I dont see anything wrong with it, the playability is incredible! the best part it's nice and light and the neck plays like butter! Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up if you are looking for a Tele Type guitar!

Prefer it over a Fender

This is my second Godin. I loved the feel, sound and look of my Radium CB so much that I took a chance on the demo model of the Stadium HT and I have no regrets.

I pretty much concur on most of what has already been said about this guitar in the reviews. I even prefer the feel of it over the MiM Fenders I've owned and professionals that I've played. In addition to things commonly praised like its fit, finish, frets, intonation, tuning stability, et aI., I especially prefer the lighter weight, belly cut and placement of the input (another reviewer mentioned it being great on a couch, and the same is true for a bed or any place where the seat awkwardly tweaks the cable when the input is on the bottom).

And though I can't say I'm a Tele expert capable of identifying specific pups in a blind-shootout, this definitely sounds great to my ear and will do just fine providing that recognizable Tele sound including the bridge twang. I'm also using the middle PUP position on this more than I normally would with T-style guitars... can't say why exactly, it just hits the right spot for me.

Godin guitars in general are slowly rising in price (this used to sell for $750 not too long ago), but they're still a great value and I'd grab one ASAP in case the price continues rising with their popularity. I'm not sure how the resell will hold up, but I plan on holding on to this so it's a moot point for me.

Great guitar

The build quality of this guitar is superb. I used to have a Fender Performer Telecaster, but this instrument is FAR better made. The frets are perfect. The neck is nicely rolled at the edges. The nut is cut correctly and is smooth to run your hand over. I can't say any of those things for the Fender. Godin is doing it right.

The Godin feels great to play and sounds great once you fiddle with the pickup height. it's worth noting that the volume control does not destroy tone when you turn it down, it just gets quieter. I can't say that for any other guitar I've had, including those with treble bleed circuits. I don't know what Godin is doing differently, but it really works. The intonation on mine is absolutely perfect despite the three saddle bridge. Someone obviously set this guitar up well from the factory.

I really don't have any complaints with the guitar. It's a little quirky and different looking, but I like that about it. I wish there was an option for a pick guard, but that's my only criticism. People online have complained about the output jack placement, but I really like it. It's great if you're playing on the sofa.

Godin gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from me on this guitar. Well done, Godin.

Stadium HT

I've been always a fan of simplicity and quality. Through my research for a new guitar I tried many brands and models but always ended in the Telecaster category. There is something haunting in that sound, in a good way. Godin is a well known brand here in my country and I have on of their nylon strings guitar. It is just fantastic. I was almost decided to get the Fender when I saw this Stadium model in the Deal Zone. Just love this one. The attention to detail, craftsmanship, finishing, quality of components of this unit is in the $2K category. The sound and setup is perfect, a trademark of Godin guitars. The Cajun pickup sounds amazing, better IMO than the Fender Tele and the neck is so smooth and easy... At this price range, you can't get a better guitar. Easy to use, easy on the eyes and ears. Do yourself a favor and get one of these or any other Godin guitar, they scream quality and beauty. I got this as a Demo unit and I'm still looking for scratches or dents, they are not there. It's a new and perfect guitar. Thanks Sweetwater, thanks Ben, there is no better place.
