Mic Signal Splitter/Combiner with Phase Invert Switch, Direct Out and Isolated Out

The ART SPLITCom Pro can be used to split or combine low impedance mic signals, and it's packed into a tough, compact enclosure that's easy to pack into your sound-reinforcement toolbox. Use the SPLITCom Pro's direct-coupled output and isolated output to split a mic signal into two, or use it as a combiner to bring in two mics and pass one signal. It's a great way to conserve mixer inputs! This unit's rugged metal enclosure means it's built to take the rigors of day-in/day-out live use. You get two units in one with the SPLITCom Pro!

Excellent little device

By Franklin C. from Marietta, GA
Music Background: Liturgical and secular pianist who likes to record.

I am pretty impressed with this device. I needed something to split a long run for my digital piano. One run goes to the recording mixer as a low Z signal. The other split goes to a monitor mixer. The piano is stereo so I bought 2 of them. The results are no discernible noise and everything is impedance match properly. I own several art products and found they are high value for the cost they are. Not flashy products but just solid products that work.

Low Cost Way to Handle 2 Mics/Sources

By Frank S. from SEBASTOPOL, CA
Music Background: Live Event Sound & DJ

In my studio I have multiple mixers. I often share (split) sources to separate mixers when I'm simulating live events in prep for the real deal. This unit does a very clean split of the source XLR signal, one unit per source signal.
On the other end it often makes sense to combine outputs of separate mixers into one speaker system. The SPLITCom does this cleanly as well.
At its price point, I can afford to own multiple SPLITComs.

Easy To Use!

By Sweetwater Customer from Northern California

As a keyboard player in a couple bands, I use the Behringer Eurolive B205D monitor. To enhance the monitor performance in a live setting, I use this ART SLITCom Pro Microphone splitter to feed my vocal mic into the monitor as well as out to the mixer so I can better control/hear my vocals on the first channel of the monitor; I can now also control the volume of the aux. mix out to me separately! The splitter adds that next level of control in a live setting. Geoff Allen, my Sales Engineer is so incredibly knowledgeable…his advice is always spot on for my gigging needs!

Worked Pefectly

By DB from California
Music Background: Professional Singer/Songwriter performer.

Although product description may not be crystal clear regarding capabilities, I wanted to simply split a condenser mic signal with one line going to main mixer, and the other going to another mixer with or without phantom power on the second mixer. It worked perfectly both ways.

Worked well, a good simple solution

By Mike from Ludington

Did a beach wedding Saturday with my 2 channel battery PA => guitar & vocal, no problem. But I also needed another XLR for reverend's mic. This ART SPLITCom worked perfectly with pair of Beta 58 mics & 25ft Sweetwater cables. Though I didn't have separate volume control, I did use the ARTs phase switches to create a bit more balance & it all worked out.

Works great!

By Marc T. from CA
Music Background: Professional Musician, getting into live recording now.

I already own the ART S8, and I'm very happy with that, but I wanted something I could just throw on a single connection, just for ease of use. I used it on my friends vocal at a live gig a month or so ago and it worked great. Seemed clear and clean and had a smaller footprint than the bigger S8. Marc Trainor.

Great Product at a Great Price

By Chris L. from PA
Music Background: Weekend Warrior

I'm a drummer who prefers to have direct control over my monitor mix. I purchased this unit to split my vocal signal for that purpose. I used it recently in a large live setting and it worked flawlessly. I'm no electrical engineer, but if there was signal loss or any other problem, it certainly wasn't audible to me or the sound engineer. I think this is a great product at a very reasonable price.

This was exactly what I needed. What was truly amazing was that the quality of both mic's were awesome. The sound wasn't altered at all! And of course the service at Sweetwater is always the best there is! Thanks!

Quiet. Enters no extra into the signal. Allows a mic line to split cleanly to two destinations. Trouble-free!

Very useful product

By Craig from Indianapolis
Music Background: Brass player and amateur recording engineer

I have only used it to split dynamic mics so far and that has been terrific. No indication of noise, and no problem with loss of strength on the original signal. I'm sure it dropped a little, but that was easily within range of the preamp. It should work fine with condensers needing phantom power too, but I just haven't done that. (The box does not supply phantom power, but it is designed to pass phantom through to the mic.)

I also have not used the combine function yet. Because there are no mix levels, I assume this would work best when combining identical mics that have the same sound level going in. After the first one worked so well, I bought three more. If I had these last week, I would have tapped into a club's piano mics. For the house system, they had two identical dynamic mics at different parts of the soundboard on a grand piano. That is a good case for combining those onto one channel. That would take three of these units -- two to tap into the two house mics, still leaving the house system with 2 separate channels, and then a third unit to combine those tapped signals onto one channel for my recording. (The house board was 24 channels and my recorder has only 8 channels.)

Lots of combinations possible. I am keeping four of these with my recorder. It definitely simplifies live recording when there is already a house system in place. And you never know when you will need a ground lift in an emergency.

Using with Roland FP-7F keyboard

By BoogieBeau from Monclova, OH
Music Background: Hobbyist

My Roland FP-7F has a mic input with harmony effects I like to use on a couple songs. I run the mic cable to the SPLITCom and then one out to the FP-7F and other out to my main mixer. Works great. Only neg I've found is you got to position the SPLITCom unit a few inches away from any AC/DC power supplies and cables or you easily pick up a hum.

Well Pleased

By LTS from Carterville, IL

I wish I had one of these year ago. Split going in or going out in the same unit. Why didn't I think of that? Great features for a great price.

It works!

By Frank B. from Quincy, FL
Music Background: A/V producer

The SplitComPro was exactly the right tool for me. It let me pull a signal directly from a podium mic to my recording equipment in a hotel conference. The signal was clean. It was simple and easy to use.
