Great guitar
I love these Supershredders from Schecter. It plays fantastic and sounds even better. It came setup well but I lowered the action a little. As always Sweetwaters sales and service are the best. They're the only place online I'll buy guitars and gear from.
Best in Class
Just an Intermediate guitar player here...! Once I figured out the Floyd Rose part of it, and got that dialed in, Added some of my own touches and set-up! This guitar play's and sounds like a dream!!! The Lambo Orange looks much better in person than on the website. Sweetwater delivered a fully functionable product right out of the box. I never thought I would buy a guitar without playing one first. But this one deliverd as said, and with no issue's at all! This thing play's like a dream, the Jumbo frets make it effortless to shred on the scales... I love this Guitar!!! Happy in Colorado!
“Super Shredder” describes your fingers from not wanting to stop playing.
Wow, this thing rips. The first day I got her, I just couldn't put it down. I plugged "Miranda" into my Katana MK2 100 and she absolutely sang to me. I play everything from classic rock, to blues, to random acts of soloing and it handled everything I threw at it. This is my first Floyd Rose guitar and I must admit, I was very nervous, thinking I was going to hate it and have to trade it back in. I was so wrong. The guitar was perfectly set up right out of the box and I was beyond impressed with the people of Sweetwater yet again. 10/10 customer service as always. My title is no joke either, The "Super Shredder" lives up to its title 1,000%, pics included.

Very different but great
It's a lot different than any guitar I've ever owned but it's amazing so far. I've only played it for 20 minutes. It came out of the box beautiful, and the set up was 95%to where I would have liked it. Sweetwater thank you for the quick delivery and service

Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder
Decided to pull the trigger on this from Sweetwater. Man what a beautiful guitar. Sweetwater sent me this guitar already set up and ready to rumble. The lambo orange is nicer looking in person. Brock Andrews my contact at Sweetwater set me up with one heck of a deal. Thank you Sweetwater
Truly One of a Kind
To start, I used to be a customer of Musicians Friend, but now I will be loyal to Sweetwater. Their customer service is second to none. From the moment I ordered I received a phone call from them explaining to me how my guitar had been cared for and how they were prepping it for shipment. I then received an email with photos of the individual guitar I ordered.
When I received this guitar I was further impressed. The intonation was perfect and the bridge was already set for standard tuning. I did end up resetting it because I am going to keep it in E flat.
Now to this beast itself. The sound is truly one of a kind. It is a lead monster that was definitely built with the 80s in mind. This is my second Schecter and will surely not be my last. I found it is great for Van Halen type tones and rock of that nature. The action is super smooth and the EMG Retroactive pickups are aggressive without being overwhelming. They are a touch on the muddy side for clean tone, but not so bad that you can't compensate for it. If you can, I would recommend making a couple watered down channels for this guitar due to how hot these pickups are. The neck is super fast and not too flat. I'd venture as far as saying this is probably the most comfortable guitar that I own.
If I had to pick something to complain about it would be the whammy bar. It slides in and does not fasten down, which is easily fixable with some rubber bushings.
Overall I cannot say enough great things about this guitar or Sweetwater.
Awesome Super Shredder
I have had a lot of guitars in the past 10 years (my length of time as a player) and I have never had much of a fondness for strat style guitars because of the neck and pickups, but that has now changed after my purchase of a Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder. Love the neck which is very easy to navigate especially for a novice like myself, the quality of build is top shelf. I also must say that the EMG retro pickups are the best EMG's I have experienced. I usually play PRS Single cuts and change the pickups to DiMarzio's and also prefer Seymour Duncan Blackouts over EMG Actives, but the Retro's are now in the conversation. Great tone!! I also love the Lambo Orange color which for a motorhead like myself fits the saying that a man never has enough cars or guitars...Especially true for this Schecter model. I highly recommend the axe and Matt at Sweetwater as the man to talk to for excellent customer service.
