This was on sale so had to pick it up. It's a great alternative to FabFilter. It doesn't have quite as many features, but still an excellent alternative.
I find it to be very clean. Overall it is a nice all purpose EQ. I was looking for something as a go to for mixing and mastering. Last thing is that the high end is really clean, so the clamping thing is a true statement. You can push it and it remains pleasant.

Great software. But EVERY SSL plugin I've bought has been a pain in the *** to register. They're going through some kind transition away iLok but they're doing it very poorly.

Thought it would try to compete with my HOFFA eq's...
It doesn't go above 20k... Would nice to go to the "Air Transients"
that you need for clarity sometimes...
Other than that, its ok...

I am enjoying the plugins for them. They did a really good job on it. The sound quality that adds to my project is amazing.

I would recommend this product to my friends. The reason I only give it a four-star out of five is the price. I got it on sale from Sweet Water.

Sweet Water is truly there for the musician and songwriter.

Very versatile and intuitive. Has options to filter or cut each band as stereo or mid side which is the killer feature for my use case. Also the spectrum analyzer has near zero latency and is very smooth and light on cpu usage. It's a no clutter, predictable and powerful eq I can recommend.

All of the representative for Sweetwater are very very professional and Know what they need to do when it comes to aiding the customers as a whole with their problems. Please note that they don t him ha around. They get to the exact remedy. This is why i cant stress the fact that all mthe representatives for Sweetwater are very very professional and have very good knowledge of all the programs and items for sale at the best music store in the world. SSL needs no intro in the music world, the buzz, hype, arguments as to its royalty for decades, is there.
Personally, the option to now choose a quality solid state platform, (I also love my console 1, ssl), is about choice selections, & getting familiar with sounds, nuances & character. Their filters, cuts & boosts, innovative eq design, whether anti cramping makes a big difference… but for approx £ from legendary Sweetwater, (along with channel strip & bus comp deal earlier)… I might have to return the call to Alejandro, their sales rep & resident musician to discuss, but for now … I'm feeling Sweet !

Really this is fantastic. The workflow is great and it sounds great - ultra-smooth top end. Quickly being able to change each band's Q, gain, etc. is great in combination with being able to on one screen being able to change to M/S per each band. Usually with EQs that do M/S, you have to go to the M section and then the S section separately.

Super transparent and very low distortion. An equalizer with a very interesting mi-side possibility. In the future I hope that ssl will have a possibility of dynamic equalization. Sound quality is as incredible or more than fabfilter Q3

I love all things SSL, including their plugins. I was in the market for a professional-grade EQ, as I'm learning that stock EQs are limited in their bands and functionality. The sound of this is silky and smooth, and having 24 bands to fiddle with means you can do some intensive sculpting or fixing. I'm still new to how far I can use this thing, but even just using it to throw down a few minimal changes in your tracks and mix is the best-sounding EQ I've ever played with.
