This is the one go to must have plugin I have to have when mixing. It is just so versatile and musical.

Super easy to use and get a great sound...just like SSL hardware is - I wouldn't purchase another brand's version of this. This is the best emulation because it's made by the actual company! Great job - hit it out of the park!

I never had 1 plugin that I just fell in love with but this is the one. I have Waves but this have a smoothness to it. With this I have the control to shape the sound the way I vision and not having to settle.

I have been using this plug in for live sound for the last few months. It's great sounding, I used to run the Waves SSL plug-in but this one sound better to my ears, it has a je ne se sais quoi that makes it sound better then the other plug ins. Like the other reviewer said, once you start using it you will put it in everything, is that good.

Direct from the makers of the real SSL console comes this plugin channel strip. What is very interesting is that the layout of the controls on this plugin do not mirror the layout on the real console, as do the "same" plugin from the big companies such as Waves, Plugin Alliance, UAD, etc. I will further state that this version from Solid State Logic sounds better than the competition with the possible exception of Acustica Audio's Sand which also has its own layout.

This SSL Channel Strip costs more than all the other knock offs and the justification seems to be that it does indeed sound better, and once you have it you will likely use it all the time on most every track. That is what justifies the price: you will actually use this — A LOT.

I was subscribed to SSL's bundle of plugins but I found that I was only really using the channel strip this rating is for and their bus compressor. All the others are fine but I just found myself using other products instead. But this channel strip is simply the best sounding and easiest to work with.
