Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 Model Neck 4-conductor Humbucker Pickup - Black Reviews
The Seymour Duncan '59 Model SH-1 humbucking pickup is Seymour Duncan's take on the classic Seth Lover PAF (Patent Applied For) humbucker found on the Gibson's iconic late-1950s Les Paul. The SH-1 sports plain enamel wire, a long-legged bottom plate, 4-conductor cable, and the absence of a Seymour Duncan logo. This vintage re-creation serves up a slightly more scooped midrange than the Seth Lover model and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. For flexible tones with vintage flair, the Duncan '59 Model SH-1 is a perfect fit.

Best Neck Pickup. Period!!!
I have tried just about every pickup under the sun and this Seymour Ducan '59 neck pickup is the best I've ever heard!
I bought the set but only used the neck pickup because my JB sounds just fine but now I have a spear bridge pickup to try
out whenever I want to. I put this '59 neck pickup in a Les Paul with a JB in the bridge....... what a combo!!!! I could go on and on about this pickup. Just buy one and I promise every time you switch to the neck position, you'll be grinning from ear to ear!
Mid Scoop!
Great warm & thick and mid scooped sound, love it!!! I combine this one with a Duncan Distortion and there was no problem with the output difference. So, go for it, I did and it was the best. I use the 59 to replace a neck pickup in a PRS SE semi hollow.
Nice
Just installed a set of these '59s in my Fender player Jazzmaster HH.Being a fan of SD pickups,I was not disappointed.I was looking for nice clean tones and they deliver, clear without any shrill highs.I have a Squier JM HH with SD hot-rodded humbuckers,so I didn't want the Fender to wind up duplicating the Squier too much and the '59s were a great way to go.The Fender sounds great and now I have two really nice JM's that give me a wide range of sound between them. Thanks Sweetwater!
