Gibson SG Standard Left-handed Electric Guitar - Ebony
Gibson SG Standard Left-handed Electric Guitar - Ebony Reviews
Immortalized by Santana at Woodstock and smashed onstage by Townshend, the Gibson SG is a rock icon. Gibson's Nashville-made SG Standard is the real deal, arming you with a pair of toneful humbuckers, a rounded-profile neck, and a silky Plek'd rosewood fretboard with action that's almost nonexistent. The SG's lightweight mahogany body delivers great sustain and no pain, even if you play all night. And the nitro finish looks and feels luscious while enhancing the tone of this legendary solidbody electric guitar. Own your piece of rock history: the Gibson SG Standard.

Great Guitar!
I'm a guy who has played a strat almost everyday for the last 5 years. I bought an SG because I need a guitar with humbuckers. I can say that the SG is a great guitar. Out of the box mine played very well. The scale length feels nice on my hands. I would say that the bridge pickup has a lot more treble than I expected. The neck pick up on mine is GLORIOUS very full and rounded. If I'm playing clean and I switch to the bridge pu, there's a pretty stark contrast in low end. Making the bridge pickup almost feel underwhelming. HOWEVER, of course with some dirt it sounds fantastic. Even clean, both pickups are very articulate. Might end up changing the bridge pickup but who knows. Mine plays great and is really lightweight
Gibson SG
Let's face it the guitar world isn't exactly lefty friendly. But there are some good lefty guitars and the Gibson SG is definitely one of them. My thanks to Connor at Sweetwater he's always available to give me great advice and get me the best deal possible. I started playing guitar a little later in life and having him as my sales engineer has been extremely valuable in all areas of guitar.
Update
We replaced the nut. It might have been from a right handed guitar and was flipped around for this lefty. That might also explain having a righty truss rod cover. Anyhow the guitar plays great now. Too bad it cost me an additional setup. Gibson still never responded to my support request and you would think a $2000 guitar wouldn't have such build issues.
